  • 'The Magicians' recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 4x10 "All That Hard, Glossy Armor"
Welcome back, Fillorians! Just in case you weren't sure, our merry band of magicians can SANG. What an episode. Many shows have tried their hand at musical episodes and some of worked. Others have just been hella awkward. We got a taste in seasons' past, but the show managed to kill it on all levels. The music flowed with the narrative, song picks were amazing, and the choreography/costumes were on point. Let's do this again!
Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week’s new episode, "All That Hard, Glossy Armor". Alice and Kady have teamed up to discover the truth about what the Library has been doing to magic. Julia, Quentin, and Penny have been on their own quest to keep Darth Eliot from discovering the truth about his long, dead sister. Margo is on one helluva, psychedelic journey to save her best friend and be the badass we all can't get enough of.  There's much more to Margo than her badass, glossy exterior. We know that girl and we get so much more of this amazing character in this epic outing. This show is amazing and it's all the better when you can see the actors having a ball with the work they're being given. Keep it up, y'all! What did you guys think of Ep 4x10, "All That Hard, Glossy Armor"? How cool was it seeing different facets of Margo's subconscious embodied by one of her friends?

  • Space Cowboys Ep 15: Carina MacKenzie gives an intimate look into the making of the series
The Space Cowboys podcast is hosted by Liz Prugh and Meg Bonney. The two discuss and recap the latest ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ episode, theories and more.
What goes into creating a TV show? Does a showrunner’s personal life trickle into the feels you get every Tuesday night? Why is your favorite character’s drama so relatable, so real? These are the questions we sought answers to from Roswell, New Mexico boss, Carina MacKenzie.
Your favorite alien-podcast hosts flew down to Austin, TX on the heels of SXSW for an exclusive Roswell, New Mexico screening, hosted by ATX Television Festival and Warner Bros. Before the screening and fireside chat with Carina, Meg and I met with her in her hotel room for an intimate conversation about the personal pain, love, and ultimate “light” that created this already-beloved series.
    More in this podcast:
-Carina's insight into how Liz looks at Isobel: Is there forgiveness or redemption in the future?
-Why she loves Michael Trevino's character, Kyle Valenti, so much: "I think we should allow people to change, apologize for what they’ve done, move forward, and not always carry the burden of mistakes they've made in the past."
-The theme of "space". This doesn't just pertain to the obvious. Carina shares why giving space to those we care about is just as much an act of love as shouting your devotion from the rooftops.
-Malex, Malex, Malex. Did we mention, Malex? "These guys are working towards something better than themselves and this old town that has this ugly history of intolerance and abuse. Stepping into the light is the story that we’re telling [for Alex and Michael]."
-Why music plays such an important role on the show.
-Advice for women, creators and fans alike: Why you should never, ever apologize for occupying your space. Own your own light!

  • Exclusive: ATX TV Festival’s female founders talk TV nostalgia, women in TV
The Space Cowboys podcast is hosted by Liz Prugh and Meg Bonney. The two discuss and recap the latest ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ episode, theories and more.
This episode of our Space Cowboys podcast brings you an exclusive interview for our Fierce Females series. We had the pleasure of chatting with the founders of ATX Festival, Caitlin McFarland and Emily Gipson before the live screening of The CW Network’s new show, Roswell, New Mexico, in Austin, TX, at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
ATX Television Festival is a four-day event that celebrates the television medium: looking back at its history, where it is now, and where it's headed. The festival consists of panels, screenings, and events where attendees and leaders in the TV industry talk, watch, and experience television together as one community (ATX).
The festival is more than a weekend of panels with fans and celebs geeking out, it’s a television experience. It’s one of those festivals that following a panel of one of your favorite TV series, you can grab a drink with the show’s stars and creators after. It’s for TV fans, writers, directors, producers, and those that want to immerse themselves more in the industry. Overall, it’s TV Camp that doesn’t judge you for your love of binging the small screen.
Tune in as Meg and I chat with Caitlin and Emily about:
-Why TV is the most community-driven medium, and how social media has helped elevate those communities
-Their thoughts on how the industry scales the demand for content while maintaining value and quality
-How mediums like Facebook Watch, YouTube TV, Netflix, and disruptors alike are changing the game
    -Favorite female-led projects
-Which TV series they are most upset was cancelled
-BONUS: Roswell, New Mexico showrunner Carina MacKenzie crashes the podcast to say hi!
-And more! Cheers to amazing women doing amazing things.

Welcome back, Fillorians! This week, we're back with Penny-40 and his "trainee". The show throws another and very interesting curveball by highlighting the story from two unexpected POVs. They also address Kady's absence from the last few episodes. While everyone else has stepped back into their old lives, Kady has embraced her badass Detective skills and carried forward with old cases. She also gets a visit from her new landlord. Head Librarian, Zelda finds herself at a crossroads. Fen takes center stage in Fillory as she gains some insight into different happenings around the castle.

What did you think of this version of the Babayaga? The show is always giving that extra unexpected twist to their storytelling. This time it was by giving over the audience's attention to characters many might consider "side characters". What did you think of Penny's lesson to his "trainee"?
