  • Van Helsing 404 Broken Promises Brad And Cort Talk
Welcome back, Helsingers! Vanessa is out there living her best life and using her "light" to convert as many vampires as she can. Axel finally comes face-t0-face with his former friend and he still blames her for Scarlett's death. Though in the end, Axel and Vanessa make their peace. It's very much apparent that they are both still mourning Scarlett's loss.

  • 'Van Helsing' recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 403 "Love Less"
Welcome back, Helsingers! There’s a new warden in town and he’s played expertly by The 100’s Richard Harmon. Initially, it isn’t clear that Harmon’s Max just seems like a cool, kinda twisted dude living his best post-apocalyptic life. He meets up with Axel early on the episode and poor Axel is clearly still going through it after losing Scarlett. Phil has the long-awaited reunion with his wife, Jennifer and it goes as expected.

  • ‘Van Helsing’ recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 4x02, “Dark Ties”
Welcome back, Helsingers! This week, Vanessa encounters a new group of survivors and a few old friends. She imparts some truly vital knowledge about how to take out daywalkers and enjoys some much-needed karaoke time. The group is hopeful about having Vanessa stick around, but she’s got things to do. Elsewhere, Julius and Doc are making the best of their enforced presence at Fort Collins. Julius shows Violet (Keeya King)  what it really means to fight a vampire. She’s cocky and fearless, but girl has some major skills. Gotta wonder how much of that is tangled into her seeming connection to the Van Helsing bloodline.
Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 4x02, "Dark Ties". Even when their relationship isn’t in the best place, how awesome are Doc and Julius’ interactions? Also, major points to Doc for using her leverage to find out where Phil and Jolene ended up. How about that reveal about Violet at the end. She healed that vampire in the way that we’ve seen Vanessa do in the past. She was bitten and didn’t turn!!! What the what? Could Vanessa have another sister? Vanessa talked about being an experiment last week, is that what happened to Violet? Also, where are you with Tabby? Did you get Interview with a Vampire vibes like Brad?
Will the little Tabby become another Claudia? An old soul trapped in a young body for a lifetime and bloodthirsty? Does Jolene have some competition for Doc’s affections? Also, how awesome is this show for addressing little tidbits like Monica cooking up a receipt for gas and brews? Most shows just mysteriously have generators with never-ending supplies of gas. Vanessa spent a lot of time bonding with young Jac during the episode. Were you expecting Jac to join Vanessa on her travels? And what was the deal with her handing over Scarlett’s katana?

  • 'Van Helsing' recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 4x01, "Dark Destiny"
Welcome back, Helsingers!! Our show has finally returned. When last we peeked into the life and wild times of Vanessa Van Helsing things weren't going so well. Scarlett had sacrificed herself and Sam killed the thing he loved so that he could embrace his own dark destiny. RIP Mohamad. We're still not okay. This week's premiere picks up immediately where we left off with Sam and his new look. The new Elder wants to commemorate the occasion by killing off the last of the Van Helsing women. Vanessa and her newly revived ancestor, Lily.
Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 4x01, "Dark Destiny". Lily definitely felt out of place in this new world. Especially when she discovered Vanessa's secret superpower. Were you bummed that Lily refused Vanessa's offer to save her life? What did you think of Julius and Scab's long-awaited showdown? Julius was more than a little disrespectful to the Sisterhood's latest initiate. How far our Doc has come? Once upon a time, she left her good friend behind to face certain death because she was too afraid to act. What do you think of Neal McDonough's character, Hansen? Is he a bad guy or kinda misunderstood? The actor has played some straight-up villains before and it will be interesting to see him in this new setting? What did you think of Julius' new charge? The meeting was brief, but she certainly made an interesting first impression.

  • ‘Krypton’ recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 2x09, “Blood Moon”
Welcome back, Kandorians. Now that was definitely a penultimate episode. Things look dire for Seg and company as General Zod unleashes his new secret weapon, Doomsday. By episode’s end the resistance loses a very valuable player. RIP Kem. It’s a bad day all-around for the resistance as they’re forced to evacuate Wegthor entirely. Meanwhile, Lyta’s sudden “resurrection” causes confusion for two Sagittari.
Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x09 "Blood Moon". That title and the fact that this was the last episode before the season finale left little doubt that could be losing yet another fan favorite. The better question was “who” we could be losing. Val? Nyssa? Adam? These seemed to be the characters under the most dire threat. Then it became more and more evident that Kem would go out like the badass he has always been. What did you think of his arc this season and his sacrifice? The women on this show continue to shine and kick all kinds of ass. Nyssa was amazing and left me worried we’d lose her. Also, how about our favorite Primus reminding those Sagittari what a true leader she has always been?

  • 'Krypton' recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 2x06, "In Zod We Trust"
Welcome back, Kandorians. Is this real life? Is Lyta Zod truly gone? It would seem so. The show wasted no time in putting us out of our collective misery after last week's cliffhanger. We get a glimpse of Lyta's lifeless body at the top of the episode before she's covered up. How in the world was that only an hour? So much happened!Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x06 "In Zod We Trust". Seg and Jayna spend much of the episode grieving for their loved one. Dev is horrified to find out the truth about the change in Lyta's personality. Seg doesn't have time to fully indulge in his grief. He needs to help Nyssa rescue their son and there's still the matter of Brainiac taking up residence in his head. Can Seg continue to utilize Brainiac's skills without giving over control? How awesome was Val's speech? Definitely on par with the rousing "Independence Day" and "Braveheart" speechifying, amirite? What exactly is Dru-Zod up to? Well, besides the whole plan to dominate the entire universe.Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on Ep 2×06 “In Zod We Trust”. • 'Krypton' recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 2x04, "Danger Close"
Welcome back, Kandorians. Seg and Adam are back on Krypton, but they don't remain together for long. Seg believes that he can reason with Dru-Zod. Plus he was off-planet for quite some time, so it only makes sense that reconnecting with Lyta is at the top of his list. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x04, "Danger Close". Like Dev, we couldn't help but notice the drastic change that has come over Lyta this season. It doesn't take Seg very long to figure out that things aren't quite right. There are gaps in her memory and she's acting way out of character. Seg takes action and confirms the truth. Dru-Zod has been reprogramming Lyta to go along with his plan to stamp out the resistance and remake the galaxy in his image. He wants to be a god and sees no reason why either of his parents should get in his way. Things didn't look so good for Seg when they managed to get him in that chair. Thankfully (?) his dark passenger helped throw off the attempted re-programming. Did you suspect that Seg hadn't quite gotten rid of Brainiac? Will Jayna or Seg be able to reverse the damage done to Lyta? What happens now that Lyta is on Wegthor and facing off with the resistance? Lobo has to make an appearance again soon, right?Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on Ep 2×04 “Danger Close”.
