Welcome back, Helsingers! Phew how did this season manage to fly by so quickly? Here we are at the season finale and on the cusp of the final chapter of this story. If you haven’t already heard the great news that dropped earlier this week, the show was renewed for a fifth season. Sad news? It will the the final season. While it will be sad to say goodbye, we are grateful that we’ll have a chance for a proper ending for these characters we’ve grown to love. This is especially important given how the S4 finale left us.

What did you think of the Dark One’s maneuvering? Do you believe that she was telling Violet and Jack the truth about influencing their father from the Dark Realm? Where in the world is Vanessa? What was up with that orange dust that seemed to have such drastic effects on Julius and Axel? What’s the deal with the Sunshine Unit?

  • ‘Van Helsing’ recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 4x11, “All Apologies”
Welcome back, Helsingers! Battlestar Galactiica alum, Aaron Douglas appeared this week as Colonel Nicholson. He’s there attempting to track down Julius, Violet, Jack and Ivory after they made their televised debut in the previous episode. Of course, the Colonel also seems to have information on Axel’s background and his last official mission. Protecting a certain sleeping Van Helsing.
Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort this week's all-new episode. Violet and Jack go their separate ways in their respective missions. Jack wants to find their father, while Vi is focused on finding those missing pages. What did you think of Violet’s confrontation with the only father she’s ever known? The Dark One is down a Bride after Jack and Ivory infiltrate the Sisterhood in a vulnerable moment for Michaela.  The Sisterhood is now #TeamVH. Who saw that coming?!! Not us. Bathory appears far too happy about Willem/Hanson going missing. What is she up to now? How cool was it watching Axel and the Colonel’s interplay? Here’s hoping Colonel Nicholas sticks around for a bit. We need to know more about what’s happening with the world. Two more episodes to go and then the season is done! We’re not ready.

Welcome back, Helsingers! Axel and Phil are on the hunt for Max and his hostages, Jennifer and Owen. Max likely wishes that he hadn’t taken one or both of them by episodes end. Sure he wanted to use them to help pay the “toll”. Real gross practice, Max.
Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 4x06, "Miles and Miles”. What is up with little Owen? Do all kids born during the Vampire Apocalypse born with that same bloodlust and survival skills? Jennifer seemed more wary of what Owen might do than Max. How gross was that whole bleeder set up? Do you think this will be the last we see of Phil and his family? A little happily ever after in a desolate world? What name will Axel come up for his new wheels? What did you think of that reveal about Max’s origins and his ability to heal? Is this bad warden gone for good?
