We recently had the chance to chat with Max Martini (13 Hours), about his upcoming movie,  Sgt. Will Gardner. The actor also was the writer, director, and producer for this project which highlights the struggles that so many veterans face when they return from war. The film tells the story of Iraq War vet, Will Gardner (Martini).

Gardner struggles with numerous setbacks as he attempts to re-acclimate himself to life away from war. The movie takes the vet on a journey as he connects with other veterans and his young son. Hit play and listen in as Martini discusses the challenges he faced in putting this project together and what inspired him to tell this harrowing story. The film is unflinching in offering a harsh view of realities faced by so many of the veterans who sacrifice so much for the protection of their country.

The film officially debuts in theaters and VOD on January 11th and via Blu-ray/DVD on February 19th. A portion of the film's proceeds will be donated to three charities (Higher Ground, Warriors Heart, and the Gary Sinise Foundation) that support veterans suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), PTSD, and veteran homelessness.

Be sure to visit the film's Facebook/Twitter pages for more information. Sgt. Will Gardner also stars Omari Hardwick (Power), Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), Gary Sinise (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders) and more.

As we inch closer to our 200th "Brad and Cort Talk" podcast, we take some time to reflect on some of our favorite things about 2018. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down some of their personal faves when it comes to music, movies, and more. This year felt truly neverending, but we were certainly entertained. Sure there were some duds that came down the line and projects that didn't quite measure up to what we hoped. Despite the disappointments, there were a greater number of projects that kept us in the theaters or bingeing away hours at a time when possible. There were so many artists on the screen or playing that beat just right. Please be aware that this list represents our personal faves.

Be sure to drop a comment or hit us up on Facebook/Twitter to let us know what your favorite projects were this year. What movie had you going back for more and what song did you have on repeat more than not? You can also send us an email at [email protected], let us know what you think we should include for our special 200th episode. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!!

Welcome back, Helsingers. We wondered all season about Vanessa's mission to destroy the elders. Where would her journey take her? Would she give in to the growing darkness inside? The show answered a lot of our questions and gave us more to ponder during our long wait until Season Four.

Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 3x13, "Birth Ritual".  Becoming Elder mean sacrifices were to be made for Sam and Vanessa. It appears that we've lost Scarlett and Mohamad. Do you think there's a chance they can come back? We'll have to wait for our showdown between Scab and Julius. Who do you think will win the day once it happens next season? How will Elder Sam change the entire hierarchy system of the Sisterhood and other vampires? No change? Will Ivory have a new enemy in Sam and frenemy in Vanessa? What will it mean to have Lily Van Helsing back in action? So many questions. What did you think of the season three finale?

Welcome back, Helsingers. How amazing has this week been? First, we learn that our show has been renewed for Season 4 and now tonight's all-new, kickass episode! We finally check back in with Scarlett and her time on the island has been less than restful. She did make a friend of sorts.

Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 3x12, "Christ Pose".  Which creeped you out more? Scarlett's Wilson or Tom Hanks' Wilson? How great was it to see Axel and Scarlett reunited? What did you think of Jolene and Phil's misadventures during their trip to Loveland? What did you think of Simon (Jeff Kober) and is this the last we've seen of him? Do you remember Kindred: The Embraced and where do you stand on a possible reboot?

Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on the episode. You can also send us an email at [email protected].

Welcome back, Helsingers. Axel has been very busy since dropping off Barry and the other survivors in Denver. As he's promised Scarlett, Axel heads back to the place where he told her that he'd wait for her. Axel goes home. He meets up with a band of survivors and discovers an unexpected connection.

Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 3x11, "Been Away". How shocked were you to discover Carter's connection to Axel? Did this episode stomp all over your feels as it did ours? Elsewhere, Sam heads back to some of his old hunting grounds. Poor Mike. That group really should've picked up stakes after their last run-in with Grendel.

Vanessa, trapped in an abandoned slaughterhouse, wrestles between the light and dark sides of her own self before she can move forward on her path to find the Final Elder.
