Welcome back, Fillorians! This week we go on a most unexpected journey with High King Eliot and family. He's supposedly off gathering much-needed taxes from the outer islands. What he's really up to is, of course, filling those blank pages of Quentin's new favorite story. Our badass Queen Margo is sidelined, but she sends her bestie off with some great advice. Or actually, it was more of a directive. Basically, she wants to him forsake heroic doings if it comes down to the mission or his life. We LOVE this relationship. Earthside, Quentin and the other Magicians are on the hunt for Mykofsky's batteries. They're hoping that the batteries can offer enough power to activate Umber's clock/portal to Fillory. Kady doesn't care about getting back to Fillory, though. She needs the batteries for a spot of dark magic to help her sweetie, Penny.

Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week's all-new episode. What did you think of the unexpected return of Eliot and Fen's two-month-old baby? She's definitely big for her age. Or is the Fairy Queen playing some major mind games with our favorite royals? It wouldn't be the first time. Alice's new alarm system works as advertised and it's quite bloody. Maybe, she should've tried a bigger cat. Like a mountain lion or something. Poor kitty. How relieved were you that Quentin saved Professor Lipson. She could've done soooo much better than Mayakofsky, no? Hit play and then be sure to drop a comment to let us know what you thought of the episode.

Welcome back, Fillorians! This week a prodigal daughter finally returns home, but the welcome is not quite what Alice was expecting. Perhaps because Quentin told the Quinns that she was alive months before and yet their offspring took her time showing up. Sure, she's on the run from a body-jacking Lamprey, but she could've given the parents a call, amirite? Speaking of body-jacking, pirates take over the Muntjac and their intentions are far from honorable. High Queen Margo shows off her snazzy eyepatches and new levels of badassery. Don't effe with that woman's ship. Not unless it's what the Muntjac wants.

Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week's all-new episode. It's a doozy. Quentin possibly has Lamprey eggs in his brain. Niffin Alice was a horrible person and definitely the "torture artist". Gotta wonder what other creatures are on her trail. What did you think of the episode and OMG what will happen to Penny now?

The Magicians, Ep 3x01 "The Tales of the Seven Keys" aired on January 10, 2018

Quest on, Fillorians!!! That's right our favorite magicians are officially back. How fluent are you in pop culture? And how epic was that moment when Eliot and Margot delighted us all in their efforts to outwit the Fairy Queen? It was truly next level and our inner fangirl/fanboy are still feeling pretty giddy. It was only an hour, but still, we managed to check back in with everyone. They're not dealing so well with the loss of magic. Then there’s Alice who’s still on the run from that Lamprey.

Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down tonight's premiere, "The Tales of the Seven Keys". The Fairy Queen is treating our badass Queen Margo like her "beck and call" girl and it's just not cool. Poor Fen isn't doing so well after losing her baby to the fairies. Besties, Julia and Quentin spend much of the episode attempting to turn Julia's spark of magic into something more. Kady worries about Penny who slowly dying before her eyes. Also, Josh is back!!! What did you think of tonight's premiere? Was the Great Cock on point with his labels for our magicians and did he say "torture artist" or "tortured artist"?

Let this be a lesson! That's how you turn the page on a kickass season already brimming with badass showdowns and wild revelations. Welcome back, Helsingers! It was quite a ride, but we've reached the end of an epic season 2 for all of our favorite characters. Rowland Pidlubny (Scab/Scott) joins us to break it all down.

As it turns out, Scarlett's reunion with her mother was shortlived, but it was definitely an interesting journey. The duo started bonding somewhat as Abigail gave insight into the past. All the while, they raced against the clock to keep Dmitri, Scab and Ivory from freeing the Elder. Hit play and listen in as Rowland talks about his character's transformation and some of the season's major developments.

What did you think of the finale? How amazing were Ivory, Scab, and Dmitri in those flashback scenes? And how about the fact that Scarlett has the Elder on a leash (for now)? Also, what did you think about that ending? We've come full circle from Vanessa's first awakening, but now she's been bitten by the Elder and we know she has the blood of "The First" running through her veins. What kind of changes will this new death and bite bring about for Vanessa? We have more than enough time to speculate. Drop us a comment and let us know what you thought of the episode. It's been quite a year in TV. Some epic fails and more unexpected gems. Hit play and listen in as we talk about some of our favorite shows from 2017, what we've been bingeing, and movies we (mostly) enjoyed this year. Stick around as we also chat about our hopes for 2018. So much potential for EPIC win. Here's looking at you Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time.

It appears that magic isn't dead after all. The year has been long but fret not because the hour is near when we all return to Fillory and Brakebills. We ended season 2 with the knowledge that just a spark of magic remained with "God-touched" Julia. Season 3 returns with the all-new episode, "The Tales of Seven Keys". Listen in as Brad and Cort talk all things The Magicians and play catch up with where exactly our favorite characters ended the season and how they got there. Then we spend some time reminiscing about our favorite moments and episodes. Eliot going full-on Swayze and the Les Mes musical number! So many great moments. This show has such an original approach and we can't wait to see which will be our greatest hits for season 3.

Hit play and listen in as we do a deep dive into the different character arcs from season 2. We also, discuss the latest trailer and bits of news we've heard during this long hiatus. We're are absolutely ready to kick this new quest into high gear. Be sure to check back at Purefandom or our "Brad and Cort Talk" Facebook group for all things The Magicians. Also, be sure to check out our "2017 in Review" podcast that will be dropping soon.

Welcome back, Helsingers! The show has teased the sanctuary, Crooked Falls, numerous times throughout the season. Of course, it was only a matter of time before our band of survivors made their way there. Who could've guessed that Scarlett would find yet another key to her past? Welcome to our screens, Andee Frizell. Clearly, Vanessa and Scarlett achieved that level of badassery from their mama. That's right! Abby and not fake Abigail has arrived and she's ready to go face down the ancient. Also, there's something really weird going on with the ferals.

Listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week's all-new episode, "Crooked Falls". Did you remember the scarred vampire from the "Vanessa"-centric episode a few weeks ago? Lucky's a goner for sure, right? There's no coming back from that one. Right? Now, the season is down to one last new episode and there's so much we need to know. What's up with Vanessa? Will Vampire Mo give in to his baser instincts or resist like Axel?  What did you think of the episode? Be sure to drop a comment over in our Van Helsing Facebook Group or find us on Twitter.

Welcome back, Helsingers! Sam and his former bestie, Mo are back! The episode serves up some very interesting flashbacks that finally gives us an origin story on that bromance gone bad and Mo's iconic Nirvana t-shirt. The episode delves into Sam's less than ideal upbringing and his sadistic hobbies. Nature vs. Nurture? What made Sam the monster he is today and what will become of Mohamad now?

Listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week's all-new episode, "Be True". Sure there are only two episodes left in the season, but rejoice Helsingers because we know for certain that Vanessa and company will return for a third season. What did you think of the episode? After you hit play, be sure to drop a comment over in our Van Helsing Facebook Group or find us on Twitter.

The first half of the season flew by with all the killer drama and relationship turmoil. We had our last episode until next year and boy was it a doozy. The show closed out it's "Black Hood" story arc with a killer arc and yea, it wasn't quite what we expected. The red herring turned out to not be such a red herring after all. Or was he? Brad and our fellow writer Meg who does the written weekly recaps have their own theories about that reveal. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week's fall finale and then check out Meg's conspiracy theory here.

Before this episode, the show has been steadily running on all cylinders. What did you think of the reveal and what lasting effect will it leave on Betty and all her friends? The show also re-awakened the iconic love triangle from the comics with that smooch between Betty/Archie and then reuniting Ronnie and her Archikins at the end of the episode. Hope remains for Bughead, though, RIGHT???? Is it wrong that I semi wanted the killer to be Betty's dad so he'd be out of the way for Alice/FP to make things happening? What's your poison? Barchie, Bughead, Varchie, or are you all about Josie/Cheryl? When is poor Kev going to get some more love and not of the  hook-up variety? Where is Sherriff Keller and his Mayoral Boo? We have so many weeks to wait until the show returns in January. I guess we'll be rewatching all the eps and continual speculating whether or not the janitor was the very bad man who terrorized the citizens of Riverdale and will they ever bring back Tony Todd? Only time will tell.

Until then hit play and listen in as we chat about the last two episodes. Be sure to drop us a line on Twitter or our Brad and Cort Talk Podcast Group on Facebook .

Hey, Helsingers! She’s baaaaack. Tonight’s all-new episode finally fills us in on everything that’s been happening with Vanessa since she was kidnapped a few episodes ago. It was a doozy of a story. Vanessa finds herself in the company of a new Dr. Creepy (aka Dr. Harrison) and a nurse who claims to have an interesting connection to Vanessa and Scarlett’s past.

Listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week’s wild new twists. What did you think of Abigail? Were you pulled in by her pretense? How do you think Vanessa will manage to cheat fate and Abigail and Dr. Harrison’s dubious plans for the sisters? The season is inching closer and closer to the end. Who are you hoping the series checks in with next?

We still have no idea what’s happening with Mohamad and what about Julius? Dead or still kicking. After you hit play, be sure to drop a comment over in our Van Helsing Facebook Group or find us on Twitter.
