Purple FTW! Podcast

Makes sense that Episode 666 of our stupid show comes on the week the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings look to exorcise the Ghoulish Green Bay Packers from Historic US Bank Stadium on Sunday Night Football. Longtime Friend of the Program and Packers apologist Alex Gelhar (@AlexGelhar) of NFL Fantasy rings in to chat about the Slack. Plus Kevin Ringrose (@PFF_KevinR) of Pro Football Focus stops in to talk about how the Vikes graded out in that Chicago debacle.

All that and more "Devil's Avocado" chatter on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast!

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings are 5-4-1 with their season in the balance after their No Call/No Show Sunday Night in Chicago. At least they get a breather coming up at Historic US Bank Stadium as the Grubby Green Bay Packers come in for the tiebreaker, yet again on Sunday Night Football for some reason. Darren "Doogie" Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) of The Scoop Podcast joined my at The Blue Door Pub to chat about the Purple's fortunes going forward.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings fell on Sunday Night to the Creeper Chicago Bears 25-20 in a game... That was not that close. The Vikes lost their footing in the NFC North race and at 5-4-1, need to regroup for a Wild Card push.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings look to retake the NFC North Sunday night as they invade The Windy City to take down the Creepy Chicago Bears. Darren "Doogie" Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) of The Scoop Podcast stops in to chat injuries. Plus Jordan Reid (@JReidNFL) of Inside The Pylon swings by to breakdown the Bears.

For a look at the Creepy Chicago Bears, we brought in Friend of the Program Aaron Leming (@AaronLemingNFL) of Bear Report to chat about the impact of rookie head coach Matt Nagy, if Mitchell Trubisky can actually throw left or not, and his reaction when the Khalil Mack trade went down. Plus Vikes Over Beers with Josh Pelto (@JoshPelto) as I have Minnesota Fightin' Vikings thoughts and #taeks on Chicago-style deep dish "pizza" and Portillos. Then Margaret makes a cameo at the end.

Are the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings playoff contenders or pretenders? We're going to find out in short order as the next four games loom large for the Purple. To chat about the Vikes and the upcoming scrum with the Chicago Bears, we brought in Friend of the Program Drew Mahowald (@DrewMahowald) of Vikings Territory into The Blue Door Pub.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings are off bye and will be back in action on Sunday Night Football (weird flex but ok) taking on the Coddled Chicago Bears. We brought in longtime Friend of the Program Eric Eager (@PFF_Eric) of Pro Football Focus to chat about if the Bears are legit or not, how the Vikes can derail the Khalil Mack hype train, and if the Purple are indeed that Super Bowl darkhorse. Plus I ramble on about Rick Spielman being a great general manager and also some HOT brisket talk.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings are off this week, but plenty of funsies to chat about on a Friday. Our guy Darren "Doogie" Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) of The Scoop Podcast chimes in to talk about Vikes injuries, Joe Mauer's place in the hierarchy of Minnesota sports athletes, and why Bryant McKinnie still owes him $20. Plus I meander the Week 10 matchups around the league.

Danielle Hunter rightfully won his first NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award. We chat some Minnesota Fightin' Vikings headlines as well as dive into the Blue Door Pub with Josh Pelto (@JoshPelto) for some Vikes Over Beers!
