Purple FTW! Podcast

Close out your week with the latest Minnesota Fightin' Vikings news and scoops from Darren "Doogie" Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) and NFL Draft insight and breakdowns from our resident scout Jordan Reid (@JReidDraftScout) as we mercifully inch closer and closer to the abyss Draft.

Friend of the Program and NFL Draft pioneer Scott Wright (@DraftCountdown) rejoins the show to talk about mock drafts, potential Day 1 trades, and Minnesota Fightin' Vikings draft needs. Plus Josh Pelto (@JoshPelto) and Andrew Roth (@sandrewroth) join me at the Blue Door Pub for some Vikes Over Beers.

As the spring snow and the 3-week dead period leading up to the NFL Draft is starting to drive Minnesota Fightin' Vikings fans insane, we brought in OLD Friend of the Program Daniel House (@DanielHouseNFL) of Vikings Corner to help ratchet down the Threat Level from Midnight. House and I chatted about the incoming draft quarterbacks, positional fits for the Vikes, and names we're standing on the table for.

We brought in our guy Darren "Doogie" Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) of The Scoop to talk about the Minnesota Vikings Top-30 visits, recent personnel moves, and why Vikings fans could (should?) expect Trade Rick to do his thing early and often in the Draft. Plus our scout Jordan Reid (@JReidDraftScout) breaks down the Top-30 visit draftees.

For a look at what goes on behind the scenes with NFL teams during Draft SZN, we brought in former NFL scout and Friend of the Program Dan Hatman (@Dan_Hatman) of The Scouting Academy and Inside the Pylon to talk about some of the top prospects, a few of the Minnesota Vikings' 30 Visits, and what it was like working for the Eagles in 2011 when they were buying the "Dream Team" in free agency. Plus Josh Pelto (@JoshPelto) and Andrew Roth (@Sandrewroth) for Vikes Over Beers!

The NFL Draft process can be a grueling one for the hundreds of young men who hope to hear their names being called at the end of April. For an insider's perspective, we brought in Kunle Ayinde (@Kingkunle4), former Minnesota Gophers defensive back and younger brother of Friend of the Program Yinka Ayinde. We chatted about his Gopher career, the preparation that goes into draft season, what his plans are if he goes undrafted, and what it would mean to him to slip on the hometown colors of the Minnesota Vikings.

All that and more "No Matter What" chatter on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast!

The NFL Draft is less than a month away. We open the show opining why the Draft is so popular, what Minnesota Fightin' Vikings general manager Rick Spielman should do maneuvering this year's crop, hype up a hypothetical scenario where the Vikes trade WAY up, but more realistically that the Purple won't be making a pick at the podium during the first round. Plus Vikes Over Beers!

All that and more "Rick Should Trade Down. Or Up. Whatever." chatter on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast!
