The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings' Death Spiral 2016 Tour continued rolling along Sunday afternoon at historic US Bank Stadium as the Purple dropped to the Detroit Lions 22-16 in extra football time. The Vikes are now 0-3 off the bye and the formally wrapped up NFC North now turns into a three-way dog fight with Green Bay and now Detroit. We recap Sunday's mehness.

Norv Turner stepped down as offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings this week, in a move many see as yet another "addition by subtraction" this season. "Tight ends coach" Pat Shurmur now steps into the interim OC role for his third stint calling plays for Sam Bradford. I talk about how that could affect the offense as well as send NORV off with a few heartfelt songs straight from my heart. #Heart

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings turned in their 2nd sleepwalking performance of the season Monday Night in Chicago. A failure on both the offensive and defensive lines allowed the Bears to slowly grind the purple into a slaughtered stuffed animal pulp. Head coach Mike Zimmer has to figure out a way to jump start a lethargic offense (maybe send Norv out to pasture?) and a suddenly not as dominant defense.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings kinda shart the bed Sunday in Philadelphia, racking up their first loss of the season 21-10 in a game that wasn't even that close. Sam Bradford didn't show well in his return to Philly (play calling and the offensive line didn't help) and the Zimmer Hellfire Defense got after Carson Wentz, but missed opportunities and mental errors hallmarked the first L of the 2016 campaign.
