PWHL New York have claimed the Gold Plan but given how the playoff races ended up going right down to the last day of the season I don't think there was any doubt that the No.1 Pick in this years draft wouldn't be going to the Big Apple

It's been six days since victory was secured in Boston as our PWHL Minnesota made history and became the first team to win the Walter Cup

It has been an emotional rollercoaster full of memories and in a special live edition of the Purple Reign podcast we reflect on this past season which included a lot of joy, frustrations and buckets of tears

As Toronto got the better of us clinching the top seed as the fixture lived up to what we thought it might be and then a heavy thrashing in New York saw our playoffs literally put on life support and out of our hands

But with Toronto beating Ottawa in regulation on the last day of the season our ticket was puunched and I can't not express enough how many tears were shed at the news

The 2024 PWHL Draft is fast approaching and even more its taking place right here in Minnesota as we welcome the shining stars of future to the State of Hockey & Champions

With the PWHl now finally back in action after the break for the Iternational Championships the stakes couldn't be more higher with playoff implications now in full swing

For our PWHL Minnesota it couldn't have been more simple all we need to do to punch our ticket is to get one point from our remaining games however as the month of April proved that's easier said than done

I'm still not happy that our PWHL Minnesota got left out of the PWHL Takeover Weekend but that can't ruin what was an outstanding month of hockey which came at exactly the right time

Despite not getting the full points in two of their games the month of March was a success as the team did not lose a single game including a heart attacker against Montreal which nearly had me going

The first ever trade deadline in the PWHL is now firmly in the books and with only six teams and not everyone needing to make a splash we didn't get much action but the big takeaways is Ottawa trying to compete while New York are hedging their bets
