Purple Reign

On December 27 2025 Japan became the second nation to reveal their roster and so on this edition ot the Olympic Hockey Show the Purple Trio give their thoughts and Pluto pushes the limits when it comes to my Mancunian accent struggling with pronunciations

On this edition of the Olympic Hockey Show the Purple Trio get to give their thoughts on one of the rosters for the Winter Olympics 2026 in Milan-CortinaDespite being last in France were the first to get their rosters out revealing it on the 23rd December with not a single active PWHL player in sight as the team will look to use these games as experience ready for 2030 on home soil

On this edition of the Olympic Hockey Show I once again take the reins as we delve into how TNT will be covering the Winter Olympics for the very first timeDiscovery+ has a lot of exciting features but what's holding me back right now is how bloody expensive it is

We haven't really discussed trades on the show but when the Purple Trio heard about the blockbuster deal involving the Charge & Goldeneyes I felt the best to talk about it given the former Frost players involvedClearly things aren't working in Vancouver but I do believe Ottawa are the cats who got the cream and are clearly the winners in this trade and I think we will soon see the impacts

When the Montreal Victoire & New York Sirens travelled to Washington D.C for the Takeover Tour I don't think any of us were prepared for the record crowd that were on handMy jaw was literally on the floor when the attendance was announced and I couldn't be more proud of what D.C achieved and I firmly believe they will now get a team next season following this successTHANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED!!!

NEXT STOP WASHINGTON D.CThe PWHL Takeover Tour 2025/26 continued as we headed to Washington D.C for the very first time as things got feisty at Capital One Arena beetween the Montreal Victoire and New York SirensBut the big takeaway was the historic crowd that were in attendance as more than 17,000 people showed out in their support of women's hockey and has me 100% convinced this league will expand to D.C next season

On this edition of the Olympic Hockey Show the Purple Trio talk about the alarming situation that happened at the test event as it grinded to a halt as a result of a hole in the ice surfaceI intially thought this was some sick joke as it made the social media rounds while I was watching Secret Traitor Fiona pull a masterclass on how to destroy your own game

It was a jampacked month od December for the Frost as they not only had their first Walter Cup Finals with rematch with Ottawa but also had two takeover tour games in Chicago & Edmonton

It's also a jampacked episode of Purple Reign as we start off by reminding you all about the Purple Trio's big announcement and Lady sticks around to tell me all the Rivalry Series drama in Edmonton

Then it's time to recap December's fixtures which also included handing the Fleet their first loss of the season followed by our first ever matchup with the Goldeneyes

We round out the show by looking at the points leaders where one goaltender in green literally rules this league
