Welcome to the very first episode of Purpose in the Blood Podcast.
In this episode, I’m sharing why I started this podcast, where the words “Your purpose is in the blood” came from, and how those words became much bigger than a business name.
I talk about my years working in phlebotomy, the moment I heard those words while working at LabCorp, my faith in God, starting Purpose DNA & Health, and why I believe there is purpose in every season of our lives.
This podcast is a place for real conversations about faith in God, purpose, business, and life. I don’t have all the answers. I’m still learning, growing, and figuring some things out too. But I believe our experiences can help somebody else along the way.
This is where the story begins.
Faith in God. Purpose. Business. Life.
There is purpose in the blood.

Welcome to Purpose in the Blood Podcast, hosted by Cherell Evans.
This is a Christian faith-based podcast built around real conversations about faith, purpose,…
Here, we talk about the things we actually go through — finding your purpose, building a business, making hard decisions, relationships, family, money, grief, starting over, and trying to figure out what comes next.
I don't have all the answers, and I'm not here to pretend that I do. I'm here to share my experiences, talk about what I've learned, be honest about what I'm still learning, and have conversations that may help someone else along the way.
My faith in God is a part of who I am, so God will always have a place in these conversations. Some episodes will focus specifically on faith, while others will focus on purpose, business, or everyday life.
Expect solo conversations, personal stories, lessons I've learned, and conversations with guests who have experiences and knowledge worth sharing.
Faith in God. Purpose. Business. Life.
Because I believe that as long as we're here, there is still purpose for our lives.
There is purpose in the blood.
