On this episode of the Purpose Project XXI Podcast, we are going to be discussing a topic that is very near to my heart. It is a very difficult topic and one that may make you uncomfortable to hear. But my hope is that you use that discomfort as a catalyst for change; within yourself and/or within your community. Now I'm going to issue you a challenge from the onset of this podcast. I want to challenge you to share this podcast with other men in your life who may need to hear this message And who may be ready to answer the call to action.
Gentlemen, we need to raise awareness about the realities of modern day slavery and human trafficking. But more than that, we need to raise THE STANDARD and see a generation of men who no longer propagate this evil. To join the fight against human trafficking I encourage you to check out the Phoenix Dream Center but also seek out organization in your area or even law enforcement agencies that are fighting this war in your community.

Welcome back gentlemen to Season 2 and another episode of the Purpose Project XXI Podcast.
I am stoked about this episode, as we discuss and unpack this idea of image and men's fashion and style, but I am especially excited to be able to bring to you a true professional to help us navigate these confusing and sometimes treacherous waters. Patrick Kendra is a certified men's wear stylist and image consultant.
He has worked with a wide range of men, including TedX speakers. Wall street journal bestselling authors, Fortune 100 executives and every guy in between to help them develop their personal and professional image. He has contributed thoughts to men's health; Ask men; Men's journal; New York magazine and more, he is the founder of pivot image consultancy, but more importantly, he's a great mentor, guide, and just a really cool dude.

A legend and leader in the hotel world, Horst Schulze's teachings and vision have reshaped the concepts of service and hospitality across industries.
Mr. Schulze's professional life began more than 65 years ago as a server's assistant in a German resort town. He would go on to become one of the founding members of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1983. There Mr. Schulze created the operating and service standards that have become world famous.
During his tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, Mr. Schulze served as President and COO, responsible for the $2 billion operations worldwide. It was under his leadership that The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company became the first service-based company to be awarded the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award — twice.
After leaving The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Mr. Schulze went on to found The Capella Hotel Group. This luxury hotel company managed some of the most elite properties worldwide, and gave Mr. Schulze the opportunity to further define the luxury hotel industry, receiving countless awards and recognitions.
Today, Mr. Schulze serves as Expert in Residence at Arch + Tower, a boutique, organizational strategy consulting firm. He also recently completed his first book, titled “Excellence Wins.”
And it is this the man and the book that has shaped so much of who I am today and the mission of Purpose Project XXI. Up until now he has been a mentor afar off but not anymore. Hope you enjoy our conversation and get as much value from it as I did.

On this episode you'll get to hear a recent interview I (Ozzie) did with Apryl Ortiz on the Strength & Dignity Life Podcast. In our conversation we talk about pursuing a purpose (for your life); defining your core values; creating a mission statement for your life and much more. This is a bit longer than most of our episodes but I believe it is well worth the listen.

On this second episode of a two part series I sit down with Dr. Tom Deters. If his name sounds familiar, it's probably because he was chief and editor and publisher of Muscle and Fitness magazine for 15 years, running a hundred million dollar division. He's published hundreds of articles, been on the Today Show, Good Morning America and Fox News. He's also been a CEO, many times, of media and marketing companies, both for families and private equity groups. He's been contracted with the Naval special warfare SEAL teams . He's done hundreds of seminars on performance enhancement, fitness, diet strategy, and supplementation. He is a practicing Brazilian jujitsu black belt and he's a committed follower of Christ. Besides this impressive resume, he is just a great man who has graciously taken time to sit down with me and offer some truth bombs and wisdom that we would be remissed to not receive and apply to our lives. Dr. Tom Deters offers some incredibly practical advise on how to take control of your physical health while also strengthening your mental health.
