In Galatians 6 we are called to bear one another's burdens, serving each other in love. This service to others - and receiving service - doesn't eliminate our responsibility for ourselves.

Jesus relied on the disciplines of fasting and engagement with scripture when he confronted the tempter in Matthew 4. We can rely on those same disciplines.

After a time of powerful ministry in Capernaum, Jesus withdraws for a time of solitude, silence, and prayer. We learn the necessity of these same disciplines for our life with God.

Jesus offers us his "easy" yoke. What does that mean?

Love is a major part of our intention to pursue our vision for life in Christ.

Following Jesus and achieving the vision of life in Christ requires more than just a one time decision. It requires a sustained intention. God seeks to work that out in our life through the power of the Spirit.

In Philippians 2:3-4 tells Christians to look to the interests of others before their own. Jesus is our example and teacher as to how to do this.

Our role models help us gain a VISION for life in Christ.

Paul gives us an awesome picture of life in Christ in Philippians 4. How could he have said such things, considering that he was in prison at the time?

We - individuals, families, churches - need a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
