In the story of Joseph and his brothers we see God taking the mess made by the family of Abraham and working redemption for them and through them. God wants to do the same thing with the mess his people make today.

God makes a covenant to bless Abraham and his family - and to make them a blessing to all the peoples of the world.

 How did sin come into the world? What can we do about it in our lives? We get some ideas looking at Genesis 3.

 How should we read Genesis 1? How does it connect with what we call "science?"

Jesus, the Messiah, Son of God, and newborn King, becomes manifest as such to the Magi who have come from the East. This same Jesus, crucified and risen, becomes manifest to Saul on the Road to Damascus. In Ephesians 3 we see some of the consequences of this Epiphany.

Because of God's revelation, Mary knew she was bearing the Messiah, the Son of God, come to save us all.

 We might not associate "joy" with John the Baptist, yet he had great joy proclaiming the coming Messiah, Jesus.

 How can we be ready for the return of Jesus?

 In Matthew 27 we see Pilate offering a choice to the people - "Do you want Jesus Barabbas or Jesus the Messiah?" The people chose - elected - one Jesus over the other. Which Jesus will we choose?

How are we doing on the "love test?" Are we loving each other sincerely? Are we devoted to each other? Can the world see Jesus in the way we love?
