After Jennifer started listening to Pushing Through Loss, she sought me out in order to share her journey of becoming a loss mom. Jennifer's first child would be about 24 and she wanted to not only share her experience with me but to let others know they are not alone.

Larissa has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and has extensive experience working with teens, young adults, and adults to support them on their journey to healing through depression, anxiety, trauma, adjusting to life stressors, perinatal mental health, pregnancy loss, and birth trauma. She combines talk therapy with somatic work through the use of yoga, breathing, and meditation. 

She is also a survivor of preeclampsia and pregnancy loss and uses her personal experience combined with clinical knowledge to help others who experience pregnancy loss and birth trauma in her private practice. She is the author of a children’s book which teaches children and their parents how to cope with grief. The book is called I Hold You In My Heart and is written in memory of her daughter.

Emily spent her life thinking her father was going to pass away at any minute due to the fact that he was at a much more advanced age when she was born.

Together with other bereaved parents, she co-founded PUSH, a national coalition on a mission to end preventable stillbirth.

Adinah Johnson thought she and her husband were past the "wanting children" phase when he surprised her months before her 36 birthday with the news that he did, indeed, want children. However, it took rounds of IVF, miscarriages, and plenty of faith to bring their family of a 2 to a family of 4.

Losing her mother at 15, Analee’s life changed dramatically. Thrust into a manipulative, controlling, and abusive environment, Analee’s childhood dreams were shattered, and her future was stolen by those who’d promised to love and protect her. 

 Forced into a loveless marriage at 18, Analee, like her mother before her, tried to make the most of the brutal situation, conforming to the will of her husband and the in-laws through years of suffering and abuse. The neglect of her husband and the growing vitriol of his family took a terrible toll on Analee, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. 

Recalling her mother’s faith, Analee turned to Jesus – to survive. 

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. He who sits on the throne says, “Look, I am making everything new!”- (REV. 21:4-5)

There seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Recalling her mother’s faith, Analee turned to Jesus- to survive. 

Analee’s story is one of faith’s triumph over tragedy, the sufficiency of God’s grace and strength in our weakness, and the discovery of His overwhelmingly tender love. When Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith enters in, tragedy, grief, and brokenness will not have the last word.                                                                                                                                                        Today, happily remarried, Analee embraces the legacy of her mother Alma, following in her footsteps, ministering encouragement and hope to others.
