In this message we continue the message that God brings suffering in this world to teach us.  Each of the ten plagues against Egypt taught a different lesson to Pharaoh, Egypt, and even the children of Israel.

In this part of the story of Moses we are confronted with the question of suffering.  God will bring 10 plagues against Egypt that will not only affect the Pharaoh and the Egyptians, but also the Israelites.  So why does God bring suffering?

This is the second part of the sermon; Hearing and Avoiding the call of God.  Moses heard God's call to return to Egypt and deliver the Children of Israel from their slavery,  But he made five excuses as to why God shouldn't have him do it.

In this second sermon over the life of Moses, we find Moses being called by God to lead the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage.  But Moses offers 5 excuses to God as to why he is not the man for the job.

Before they met Jesus, the 12 disciples were sinful, fearful, and flawed people.  And even after they spent 3 years following Him, they still abandoned Him at His crucifixion.  But then Jesus was raised from the dead, and He put His Spirit in them.  They were transformed into different people.  You can have that same transformation.

As we begin the book of Exodus in our Firm Foundations series, we discover that God keeps His Word.

This is the final message around discovering your spiritual gifts.  In this message we discover that we are given our gifts for the "perfecting of the saints."
