The World Championships are underway this week, and there are so many storylines to watch, from the youth movement on Team USA to the potential upsets, the players who will be potential draft picks in the PWHL this June, and more!

The international "break" is only a break from the PWHL, while several of its players are off to Utica, NY, to play for their countries in the Women's World Championship. Who will be taking part, and what can we expect to see from them? When the PWHL resumes, there will be a five-game sprint to the playoffs -- will Boston be in or out?

As the trade deadline approached, we got two large deals, both involving Ottawa as they try to grab that playoff spot that they're chasing. Boston made a great deal and got a fan favourite out of Ottawa, while Montreal filled a need by trading a forward for a defender. Injury woes continue to plague a couple of teams, with Marie-Philip Poulin remaining out, and Loren Gabel unfortunately hurt in the PWHL Takeover game in Detroit.

This week I'll wrap up my trip to Toronto where I saw two great games, we'll look at the upcoming PWHL Takeover Weekend, the Duel at the Top at the Bell Centre, and some player updates. Also, the physicality of the games in Toronto brought up an important subject in player safety and how to use contact. Laura Stacey addressed the Brittany Howard hit on Catherine Daoust, and we have just found out she has been suspended one game. Also: who was the draft steal for each team?
