The League One Golden Boot
The League Table Is Looking Good
Another solid performance, another three points and coming into top form in 'Wigan Time' the promotion prospect is looking good.
The old adage of "he just needs a goal" looks to be true where Josh Magennis is concerned, performance levels have gone through the roof and he is showing why Leam Richardson brought him in during the January window. Another excellent headed goal to follow on from his effort on Tuesday at Crewe.
Jason Kerr, Will Keane and Stevie Humphrys joined in with the fun as the Latics secured their biggest home win of the season so far.
There is an international break now and we are in the unusual position of having no game for a fortnight following a nine week period of playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, the rest will give the players a chance to recharge ahead of the final month of the campaign when they face nine games in 28 days.
Will Keane has his sights set on claiming the League One Golden Boot, just a couple of goals behind current leader Ross Stewart but with the Latics having games in hand and creating chances, I wouldn't bet against him getting there, just as I wouldn't bet against the Latics winning the League One title.
Up the tics!
