This podcast was produced by the 7th and 8th graders of the Q StudioLab, and it is about our trip to Washington D.C. In this podcast, we talk about how we created a relationship with the idea of politics and how we discovered how politicians are human and enjoy the same things as normal people. From meeting with a Congresswoman and having a real human interaction, to eating traditional bean soup in the Congressional dining room of the capitol, we will each share a moment that made us feel closer to politicians.

This podcast is a compilation of short stories by students of the Q StudioLab, Eli, Kentaro, and Scarlett. These short stories are based on the fictional play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Set in the mid 1900s, A Raisin in the Sun tells the story of an African American family living in Chicago dealing with conflicts within their family. They are also dealing with the tension of deciding on whether they should move to Clybourne Park, a neighborhood occupied predominantly by white people. These stories are the next act of the play. We studied the Civil Rights movement and each of these stories feature a Civil Rights event for our stories to be based on.

This podcast is a version of Or Does it Explode read by the author himself. Or Does it Explode is a continuation of A Raisin in the Sun By Kentaro M. Lafleur. It tells the story of what happened to the Younger family, an African American family after they moved to Clybourne Park Chicago, a mainly white neighborhood. This is a continuation of the play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry.

  This is a live recording of The Youngers by Scarlett Ray Fischer. The Youngers is a continuation of the play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Her story picks up after the Youngers family, an African American family, moved to their new house in Clybourne Park a white neighborhood. The characters in her story are Lena Younger (Mama), Ruth Younger, Walter Younger, Beneatha Younger, and Joseph Asugi. The time is 1955, in Chicago.       

This is a recording of the short story Waiting For The Sunrise by Elijah H. Sherman, which is a continuation of Lorraine Hansberry’s play A Raisin In The Sun. Waiting For The Sunrise is a story about the Younger family, an African American family, after they moved into their new house in a white neighborhood after the events that took place at the end of the play A Raisin in the Sun.
