In Acts 2:42–47, we look at the second half of what the Holy Spirit helped the brand-new believers in Jerusalem focus on: learning to center their lives on Jesus—sharing meals, remembering His sacrifice, and praying together to their Father in Heaven. As they did, the Holy Spirit worked through them to help others discover the life of Jesus too—just like He does with us!

使徒の働き2章42〜47節では、聖霊がエルサレムの新しい信者たちに何に心を向けるべきかを教えられたつづきを見ていきましょう。イエスを中心に生きることを学び、共に食事をし、イエスの犠牲を覚え、天の父に祈る。そして彼らがそれらを行う中で、聖霊は彼らを通して他の人々にもイエスのいのちを示されました。今の私たちと同じように！

In Acts 2:42–47, we get to see the birth of the church—a group of people who were given the presence of the Holy Spirit and His power to follow Jesus and to share the good news of Jesus with those around them. This is where the story of the church begins!

使徒の働き2章42〜47節では、教会の誕生を見ることができます。聖霊の臨在と力を与えられ、イエスに従い、周りの人々に福音を伝える者たち。ここから教会の物語が始まります！

In our passage for today, we get to see something amazing: the fullness of God's grace and mercy as He makes sure that the very people who put His Son to death are the first ones to hear and receive the good news of the Gospel—the first ones to receive the life that Jesus His Son gave His life for!

ペンテコステに起こった出来事を説明し続ける中で、ペテロはダビデの二つの詩篇を用いて、ヨエルが預言した「主」の正体を明らかにします。聖霊は、十字架にかかり、復活し、高く挙げられたイエスこそが主でありキリストであり、私たち皆が救われるために呼び求めるべきお方であることを示してくださいます！

The people who saw Pentecost asked, "What does this mean?" Peter, moved by the Holy Spirit, reveals that a prophecy from Joel was being fulfilled that day. A new age in history has begun: an age that we are part of: and along with that, a promise of hope for all who call upon the name of the Lord!

ペンテコステを見た人々は「これはどういう意味か」と尋ねました。聖霊に導かれたペテロは、その日ヨエルの預言がまさに成就されていることを示しました。人類の歴史に新しい時代が始まったのです。私たちもその時代の一部です。そしてその時代には、主の御名を呼ぶすべての人への希望の約束が与えられています！

ペンテコステの日、聖霊が力をもって現れました！風、火、そしてことばを通して、神のご臨在が示され、魂の収穫が始まりました。それを見た人々はどのように反応したのでしょうか？また、私たちは自分の人生に神のご臨在を見るとき、どのように反応するのでしょうか？
