Anson and Chris were joined by their good friend Mark. They felt the need to shed some light on something that they are all experts at; customer service. They really wanted to champion for the unsung heroes of the service industry, because it is something nearly all of us encounter on a daily basis. Let’s face it, it’s not that easy these days to go without some kind of customer service interaction, and they wanted to talk about how these experiences shape our lives in the short, and long term. They talked about their experiences on both ends of the transaction, and how technology is changing the landscapes of many of the most common customer service exchanges. Lets get one thing straight, the customer is NOT always right, but we would like to encourage everyone to strive to make their service interactions ones where both parties come out on top. We’re all a part of the customer service ecosystem.

Robert Ferguson, aka Rob Skate is the founder of the Robskate Academy based out of Oakland, CA. His communal work both in and outside of the skate park has catapulted him into international notoriety over the years, leading him to developing skate workshops for cities across the globe. He dropped by the studio to chat with Anson and Chris about the changing landscape of skateboarding, and how a few pop-culture icons have brought the sport to new audiences around the world. They got into mindfulness in skateboarding, and the importance of sharpening the mental aspect as well as the technical skills. The summer olympics are around the corner, and skateboarding is going to leave its stamp on the event for the first time, so the guys were stoked to chat with someone who will represent the Stars and Stripes in Japan as a coach for one of his immensely talented young pupils. So whether you’re a veteran or carving the bowl, a young grom, or never set foot on a board before, we really think that you’ll enjoy this conversation about everything skateboarding.

Anson and Chris sat down with Daniel Sant of Super 7. Super 7 has been making a huge splash in the world of toys and collectibles for nearly two decades. Their pride in being true fans of the medium in which they work has cascaded them into notoriety lately, as their presence at Comic-Con has become a force to be reckoned with. They talked about the importance of the finer details, and bringing nostalgia to life in the form of action figures. We get into the impact of creating fun and inclusive experiences, and cultivating a loyal following through a thoughtful and design forward approach, because Super 7 has something for the nerd in everyone. Oh ya, and did we forget to mention we featured them in a webisode on our YouTube channel? If you haven’t watched yet, I highly suggest you check that out right now because less than 10 min so it’s a super digestible length, and then you can go into this pod with a little background on the brand and what it is that they do. Word of warning though, they have some really cool merchandise so it may just trigger an impromptu trip out to the mission district of SF! Or if you’re planning to pay a visit to Comic con, you can check out their booth and store front in San Diego this weekend. So before I say any more about all the cool stuff that the folks at Super 7 are up to, let’s just get into it and see what’s good!

Anson and Chris celebrate something that this podcast has been about from the jump, the doers. They explain the definition of what a doer is, and explore some of the famous doers throughout history. We talk about what it takes to be an effective doer, and how to incorporate some of those things into your life on the daily. Creativity and ideation can only get you so far, but it’s the execution that separates the doers from the talkers.

Keane Dasalla is a Film Maker and Creative Director from the East Bay. As both a friend and fan of his work over the years, it has been great to see him evolve as a creator. Anson and Chris get into his early experience in video production through a high school elective and where Anson first took notice of his talent, during many a lunch time cypher. We discuss the unique generation that we grew up in, seeing the changes in both how media is produced and what can be created. Keane talks about why he decided to pursue video production and where he finds his inspiration. Coming off the release of our first video under the Quality Goods name, it was great to hear from someone who has been pushing the limits of video content for year.
