On this episode of the Quality Goods Podcast, Anson and Chris were joined by Founder and Stylist of Le Blanc Label, Alena Le Blanc. If you listened to the last episode of the podcast, this will be serendipitous timing as she is the perfect guest to speak to how our appearance is one of our most powerful tools in making impressions. If you didn’t catch that episode, this episode will still serve as great examination of style and fashion, and they are tools of expression that we consciously and subconsciously put to work for ourselves on a daily basis. As a designer turned stylist, Alena uses her keen fashion sense and expert knowledge of clothing craftsmanship to guide her clients to reimagine their closets and showcase the versatility of garments already in their wardrobe. You know the guys are huge advocates of sustainable fashion at Quality Goods, and they really enjoyed chatting with someone who is just as passionate about educating her clients on how to be fashionable and eco friendly.

On this episode of the podcast Anson and Chris went guest-less again and had a discussion amongst ourselves about perspective. Though it’s not something many of us dedicate a lot conscious thought to, perspective is a very powerful force that shapes all of our lives and our decision making. Everyone has a perspective, but everyone’s perspective is unique, and the better we can work to understand each other’s perspectives, the better off we’ll all be! Our environment and experiences dictate our perspective, and we thought it would help you to understand ours better through a conversation about what perspective is and means. So keep an open mind as your perspective may even change after this episode.

On this episode of the podcast, Anson and Chris were joined by multi-instrumentalist and lead singer of the Super Fantastics, Daniel Scharff. The San Francisco based Indie Pop band has made good use pandemic times to develop their act both outdoors at golden gate park, and in the studio where they have been sharpening their debut album Home set to release in March of this year. It was a really lovely conversation about all of the things that music is to them from an emotional standpoint..representing our current moods to jogging memories, music is therapy for the soul. They shared some of our listening habits, some songs that we listen to to feel a particular way, and how we want to share positive vibes through good music..literally. Katie Austin is an actor and film maker based in the bay area. Her directorial debut Aubergine is hitting the festival circuit this year, and we were thrilled to discuss everything that led her to this exciting moment in her film career. She talked about going all in on pursuing her dream, and having to dial it back a little bit when her livelihood was at stake. You don’t always have to go for broke in the pursuit of ambitious goals, and it is ok to take a step back to reformulate your plan of attack sometimes. It’s something that myself, Katie, and probably many of you have in common, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. If you never lose sight of the target that you’re aiming for, perhaps taking a few steps to the side will offer a new perspective and give you a cleaner shot at the bullseye. Katie’s story is one of perseverance, determination, and passion for creativity and creatives alike, and it is one that we think will resonate with all of you. So keep shooting for the stars, because even though you may not hit the target with your first shot, it will certainly get you closer the next time you take aim.
