In the township of Kagiso ward8 at Tsakane, the community has no electricity for the past 8 months, Eskom asked them to pay R500, which they did but they haven’t fix their problem. And there is a lady, one of the community members who is without electricity and the women has been surviving on oxygen since January. She hasn’t used it because there is no electricity and has been using a back-up that has to be refilled at the hospital. The woman is unable to work and stays with her 15 years old daughter, the father passed on, so they are struggling to survive where they are staying.

They are renting a shack and depend on social grand for a living which is not enough. The lady asked that Cynthia and the community to help her get and RDP. 2 days ago we went to the housing department and we got help for her she is going to get a subsidy and allocated an RDP house they assured us that will happen with less than a month” This woman is using a gas and paraffin for cooking which is not good for her health, if we can get her help of Solar or get Eskom in the meantime to fix the electricity because the more she uses those things her health gets worse.
