So two weeks ago, I challenged myself to not bring my phone in bed with me (hehe). Last week, I challenged myself to not look at my phone in the morning while still in bed. Meaning, I had to get up to look at it. This week, I'm taking it a step further, and I'm going to completely shut my phone off in the evening and set a REAL alarm clock. I'm placing my phone across the room, and I really want to "wake up" before turning it on. I really want to be out of bed, make the bed, wash my face and just have some "me" time before being flooded with notifications and text messages.
BUT -- in this episode, we talk about the negative effects that scrolling in bed right as we wake up has on our brains. Let me tell you, it was eye opening!!! Like actually eye opening and mind blowing. Even if you don't want to listen to this podcast please do yourself the benefit of at least reading this article. It really will make you look at your phone and social media differently. It really is effecting our brains and our days! It's wild!
