Quarantine Reads

This week we discuss Girl, Serpent, Thorn, as I recover from a gnarly bout of allergies and finally have my voice back! This one is cool and interesting, and we talk about power imbalances, and why if you advertise a book about a girl with a curse, you should make sure the curse is a big part of the story.

This week is a heavy-hitter my friends. We discuss the end of Gods of Jade and Shadow and how beautiful I continue to think this book is, and how desperate I am for it to be made in to a movie. I hope you enjoyed this book, and will join us next week to begin the next one!

And we have reached the end of another beautiful fairytale. This one made me tear up, but like, who's surprised, really? This section of Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno Garcia is truly the most beautiful section of the entire book, so I hope you loved it as much as I did!

This book looks at Elton John's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and LAUGHS. But really though, this section we get in to the more heartbreaking and painful sections of Gods of Jade and Shadow and let me tell you, I LOVE IT. I FEED ON SORROWFUL BOOKS. It hurts me and I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.
