The family of Que Viva La Música mourn the sudden passing of Tito Cruz, veteran singer known as an influential vocalist of legendary Fania recording artists "Roberto Roena y su Apollo Sound", leaving a legacy of numerous songs we cherish. We also remember singer Bernie Perez who left incredible recordings with El Maestro Willie Rosario, his siblings on Tres con Kache and his solo albums. We will honor their memories throughout the program.

We fondly honor the memory of Charlie Candelario, committee president, beloved son of El Barrio who we lost in 2019 and to whom we owe over 50 years of music, stickball, culture and solidarity every 2nd Sunday in July in El Barrio, NYC.
