This week we commemorate El Maestro Tito Puente on his 99th birthday, no ordinary day in our lives. There is no doubt that this great man gave his life to the enrichment of our mind, body and souls, thus earning him the respectful title of "El Rey Del Timbal" to every corner of the world. Our show will begin with an hour dedicated to him with his music and a brief chat with 4 of the many important people in his life. Who they are will be a surprise!

We will also promote the new recordings that have been recently released. Joining us in the studio will be Eddie Muniz and Angel Rios, longtime fellow band mates and veteran musicians of Swing Sabroso, an ode to the dancers vowing never to disappoint them. He presents "Golpe Duro", his most recent recording featuring Anthony Almonte and a poignant array of tunes directed to the dancers across the globe.

The family of Que Viva La Musica deeply mourn the passing of legendary great Pete Bonet , Puerto Rican singer with many of the most renowned bands in New York as well as being a successful promoter of nightclubs of grand fame such as El Corso. We will highlight many of his recordings throughout the program. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and admirers of his accomplishments.
