The birthday of the Catholic Church, the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit.  Readings: Acts 2:1-11; Ps 104; 1Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13; Jn 15:26-27; 16:12-15.

Jesus left his disciples, saying it was better that he go.  Why would that be better?  The promised coming of the Holy Spirit!  Readings: Acts 1:1-11; Ps 47; Eph 4:1-13; Mk 16:15-20

If we love someone, we want to be with them.  We should love God, and strive to be with him.  He certainly loves us.  But is he still with us?  Yes.  Especially in Holy Communion.  Congratulations to our students who received Holy Communion for the very first time today!  Readings: Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48; Ps 98; 1Jn 4:7-10; Jn 15:9-17.

Jesus is the "Good Shepherd," and we need more good and holy priests to follow in His footsteps.  Pray for vocations!  Readings: John 10:11-18.

Jesus showed his wounds to his apostles, and to Saint Faustina.  In both cases, it was to reveal to us his desire that his Divine Mercy spread to throughout the whole world.  Readings: Acts 4:32-35; Ps 118; 1Jn 5:1-6; Jn 20:19-31

In the New Covenant, we can learn to love the Law.  Readings: Jeremiah 31:31-34; Psalm 51; Hebrews 5:7-9; John 12:20-33.

The Lord works for our good, even when things are difficult.  Thus, we can rejoice even when life is hard.  God's love is unconditional.
