Did you know that masculine and feminine energy are opposing but complementary energies in all humans? In this episode, I dive into these energies and how they can affect our lives. They are not gender exclusive. Men and women have both energies inside of them. Chinese medicine refers to them as yin and yang. The yin energy represents the more feminine side, while the yang energy represents the more masculine side.
In many industries, including the trades, masculine energy has been more highly rewarded. As women, we may be toning down our feminine energy and leaning more toward the masculine to fit in. But what happens when we ignore our natural feminine energy? It can lead to tension, burnout, and a lack of motivation in our daily lives, even causing arguments with loved ones.
In this episode, I will break down the differences between masculine and feminine energy and explore how embracing your natural feminine energy can lead to more balance, joy, and success in your personal and professional life. So grab a cup of tea, sit back, and get ready to learn all about the power of feminine energy.
Episode Highlights:
[03:24] When I'm talking about masculine energy, I'm specifically talking about logic, goal-oriented, ambitious, confident, and strong, stable, clear energy.
[03:41] The feminine energy is more intuitive, generous, nurturing, creative, and collaborative.
[04:19] The state of Hawaii would have a more flowing feminine energy where Chicago or New York would be more goal driven and masculine. I became very comfortable in this masculine energy.
[04:51] I started working at a young age, and I was very focused on achieving goals and making money.
[05:07] Most of my female mentors were confident in their masculine energy. My horse trainer was a woman, and she was really tough on me. I kept gravitating towards more masculine mentors.
[06:23] Our school system also tends to reward this masculine energy.
[07:00] I share how I was interested in masculine mentors like Grant Cardone and Jocko Willink. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I became more interested in feminine mentors like Cayla Craft. I also became more interested in journaling, prayer, and reading the Bible.
[08:49] Researching masculine and feminine energy was mind-blowing.
[09:55] I began experiencing extreme burnout, because I wasn't in touch with the feminine side of my energy.
[11:09] The feminine side is highly intuitive, generous, fun, flirty, and playful.
[12:04] A lot of women become so comfortable in this masculine energy that they're not able to tap into their superpower of feminine energy.
[12:32] There is value in both types of energy. To stay in Balance I carve out time for my feminine energy.
[13:21] The state of being is more feminine. The more masculine is the doing or being on the go.
[14:32] I have to bring in practices to keep me grounded in my feminine essence.
[15:50] What putting more time into the flow state and being mode meant for me was spending more time journaling, meditating, and even dancing.
[17:19] I would like men and women listening to this to be more aware of the feminine and masculine energy and try to find a balance.
[19:11] I share a method to identify your natural state. If you're a woman and you feel more burnout, it could be because you're in a hyper-masculine state and you need to create balance with your feminine state.
[20:34] As women, tapping into our superpower is when we're in our feminine state.
[21:02] I was meditating, and had a clear image of people in our company who were no longer in alignment with our core values and company. My husband disregarded my intuition.
[23:08] Six to eight months later one of these people came into the office and said he was starting his own business. For the months prior to this, he created discontent within our team. It would have been better to have trusted my intuition.
[23:48] Our superpower is our intuition and our feelings. It's important as a woman to play to our feminine superpowers. Create time within your day to be in a being state.
[25:57] Start your own meditation practice with breath and use your time to receive any messages that God wants to give you. Also, get your body moving.
