PLL First Weekend RECAP EPISODE 1
Redwoods vs Cannons
**experience wins out
Ryan Lee, Pannell Redwoods
Rob Pannell…not using a WARP!!! HUGE…their culture…
Whips/Chaos
Rambo & Zed
That defense + Nardella
Archers vs Atlas
Atlas shipped everyone away **no Teat
Archers offense is loaded + Fields who really got a tough deal last year
Atlas/Waterdogs REBUILDS:
Give them time….Atlas need Teat!!
Waterdogs im not sure who their offense will come from!
Sowers debut
Cannons vs Waterdogs
Sowers debut
Everyone loves Goodrich
Cannons : Lyle + Kew + Rabil + Brodie = this team is very good
Chrome vs Woods
Woods are a good team. Jones + Perk ..Ryan Lee is my fav attack player not named Lyle
Chrome: Jordan Macintosh. idk it feels like the last 2 years the chrome don’t quite have “it” offensively. T
The better goalie on their roster is Sconone….but Soudan is basically in love with Galloway so I don’t see that change…
Mike Manley is from PY did you see that hit!? his dad is a football coach
Closing thoughts:
Whos gonna beat the Whips ??
Sowers Injury & what will the league do with repeat ofenders like EPPLE:
Someone bit a finger off in hotel??? These guys can’t stay together in the same hotel!!
Waiver Wire:
Hows this gonna work this year????
When the MLL was in cities…I know I woulda have played in this format….
Excited to chat with my favorite goalie to watch right now other than Brett…we talk a lot about the culture at UMASS, why being a great teammate is important to Sean, the goalie position and of course where the best Deli on Long Island is.
Sean Sconone File:
East Slip High School Lax & Football Star

PLL & MLL Merger instant analysis as well as some BOLD predictions about the future! Pros: PLL has done a much better job marketing players PLL has treated players better w/salary & team travel PLL has made lax better on TV PLL is exciting 2 Leagues wasn’t viable but it was fun Cons: Taking jobs away …and more opportunities… Tour based model I don’t think they have all “the best” players there some guys there who aren’t at the top of their game still and there because of what they used to do or social media presence Goodbye Steinfield Cup Whats Next!? I make some Bold Predictions! We can all get behind the LEAGUES!! PLL/NLL or watch out for PLL to make their OWN indoor league Women’s Lax League!! Final Thoughts: Thank you MLL, it was beyond my wildest dreams to play pro lax but I got to play with guys like Reggie Thorpe, Pete Milliman, Chris Schiller, JR, CP22, Brett, Gary Gait, Donny Moss, Coach Hobart Good luck to everyone!!
Super pumped to have current Denver Outlaws Team President, former Johns Hopkins University Star & National Champion, & multiple MLL Champion Matt Bocklett on the show this week! Matt has won championships at ever major level (Johns Hopkins & Denver Outlaws) we talk a lot about how those teams were able to win, what a team President does, the Bocklett family backyard games, how to develop stick skills, and of course we delve into some of the most important 3X questions! This is a must listen!!
Episode 14: Full Goal aka Goalie Wars with Brett Queener
We talk about “goalie wars” on the Queener Lax podcast A LOT and how we and other top players really believe it is the best game you can play to get better at lacrosse, get the absolute most reps. All while learning to compete and have fun!!
We grew up playing in the Chicken Coop and Backyard playing “FULL GOAL” we’ve since called it Goalie Wars as it is a catchy name and just easier to teach new players quickly!
Most people who play goalie wars just fire hard balls back and forth at each other and there aren’t any other rules to the game.
Full Goal or our version of Goalie Wars has rules and more “gamesmanship” as @kingqueener says!!
Enjoy the Podcast of us talking about Full Goal/Goalie Wars and check out the IG/Youtube video of some live game play!
Some but not all benefits of the game include:
Hand eye
Shooting
Reps
Compete
Love of game!
