Ms. Tee built a life of crime selling angel dust out of a designer handbag in Manhattan. One day, the hustler’s lifestyle caught up with her, and she was shot in the back. And what a time to be recovering from a gunshot wound: she had just given birth and her daughter’s father was sentenced to at least 20 years in prison. Ms. Tee traded in a life where she caused damage in her community and instead began to heal it, running various programs to help the unhoused.
