Queer All Year

Hey everybody! Welcome back for another fabulous episode of Queer All Year!

Today, Cat and McG start out with a fun little conversation about zombies in Florida, with a small update from Florida Man. Next, Cat talks about the group ACT UP, a coalition aimed to work with the government and pharmaceutical companies in order to research AIDS. The project was spearheaded by Larry Kramer. Next, we return to Toronto for more info about Operation Soap. As talked about in previous episodes, Operation Soap was led by the Toronto Police to "clean up the streets" by raiding gay bathhouses. Cat explains that on this day, pastor Brent Hawkes led a hunger strike to protest the raids.

We also have an awesome new patron! We want to say thank you so much, but they have asked to stay anonymous. If anyone else would like to help pay for fees and equipment, you can go to www.patreon.com/queerallyear

Regardless of whether you're a patron or not we still want to remind you of this: Thanks and We love you!

Hey everybody! Welcome back for another tasty episode of Queer All Year!

Today, we've got three stories for ya! First, Cat discusses the first case of a US soldier being charged with committing sodomy. Then we have a special little segment with "McG". After that, Cat goes into Paragraph 175 of the German Criminal Code that allowed the Nazis to punish homosexuals by execution. Thankfully, Cat manages to end the day on a happy story: On this day, Tel Aviv's Family Court approves the first adoption by a gay couple in Israel.

Thank you so much and remember: We Love You!

Howdy folks! You're in store for another great episode of Queer All Year!

Today's episode starts with the Dover hotel raid by the LAPD. During the disgusting event, the LAPD beat a man to death in front of many witnesses. Yet, after claiming they were groped by the victim, the jury decided not to convict. Next, McG does a little segment on Beethoven and his hearing loss. To end the episode, Cat talks about Asbury, New Jersey which prior to having legislation changes, released same-sex marriage certificates to many couples. However, once the Attorney General found out, the marriages were annulled.

Hey everybody! Thanks for joining us on another groovy episode of Queer All Year!

To start things off, we recognize today as being the 50th anniversary of the NYPD raiding The Snake Pit, a gay bar. Although overshadowed by the Stonewall Riots, this story is very dark in that it led to Diego Vinalles being impaled six times and then left for dead by the police. Also on this day, Queen Anne became Queen of England, Ireland and Scotland. Cat explores friendships of the Queen that have led to rumors of homosexuality.

We're glad you joined us and remember: We Love You!
