Queer Black Wealth

EPISODE TITLE AND NUMBER: Season 1 - Episode 1: The Pod has Cast

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE EPISODE:

In our very first episode, host Tasha explores the concept of a "subtle Stockholm syndrome" that traps queer black people in cycles of scarcity, self-doubt, and financial setbacks within the discriminatory American capitalist system. It's all due to the despair that discrimination has caused us - so let's talk about it.

She discusses how internalized oppression can lead to self-sabotaging financial behaviors and shares her vision for breaking free from this conditioning through practical steps, self-love, and community support. We can define and design the word 'wealth' for ourselves. Let's not let the bastardized version of it that pervades the system make us think that it is not ours...it is.
