Queer Chaos

On Episode 1, film and tv writer-director Jonathan Andre Culliton and actor-artist Marval A. Rex, creatives behind the upcoming trans camp comedy-horror tv series Spookable, barrel into the chaos for a conversation. We chat creature features, trans representation in film and tv, Robin's bikini bottoms, Outfest, and more.

Also, Queer Chaos introduces Dusty Childers for a segment we like to call Active Cultures!, field reports on the state of culture, art, and other shit.

WHAT IS QUEER CHAOS?

This is a queer show about chaos where we embrace the unexpected, queer, weird, creative, and all things happening in the margins. Because when a fairy flaps their wings in Mobile, it causes a storm on Capitol Hill. In this darkly humorous podcast, we’ll be chatting about queer experiments and failed attempts. Queer as defined as a process of non-conforming and chaos as radical, counterhegemonic, anti-establishment, counter-cultural, bizarre, and wild. Weekly episodes are hosted by genderqueer artist, author and witch John Moletress with co-hosts and special guests, including listener stories and recurring segments.

Episodes will be released beginning July 21 on Wednesday mornings at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher…wherever you get your podcasts.

WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORIES

Are you LGBTQ+ identified that has a humorous story of failure? Attempted a pandemic hobby that didn’t go as planned? A witch whose spell brought unexpected results? Tried cooking a new dish for a dinner party that veered horribly off course? Collect mischievous haunted dolls? Queer Chaos podcast wants to hear from you! At this show, we rally around the queer art of failure and experiments that didn’t quite make it. Email your funny trips down the “tried it!” lane to [email protected] and your story might land right on our show. Please include a first name you’d like to be known by and the city/town you’re located in. We won’t share any other information. And please, make it a story and not just a result…”my cat puked on my date!”
