Although we generally avoid the CW Arrowverse, we had to dive into Batwoman as it concluded its first season. It embodies both of our core topics: geekiness, and queerness. Whether it successfully addresses queerness is up for debate, but we certainly have some thoughts. Then, we watched Mrs. America, a new FX series about Phyllis Schlafly and the fight over the Equal Rights Amendment.

Mad Max was released to a confused and horrified public in 1979, and went on to change the post-apocalyptic landscape in cinema. In honor of its third sequel's five year anniversary, we figured it was finally time for us to watch the original drive-n-fight doomsday movie. Then, on a gentler note, we watched Carol, a 50s period drama about two women falling in love very slowly, but very heavily.

Today is Cher's birthday! In observance of this holy day we've watched two of her biggest movies, both from 1987. First, we watched The Witches of Eastwick, a dark horror fantasy about witchcraft, womanhood, and Jack Nicholson's insanity. Then we watched Moonstruck, a romantic dramedy about luck, womanhood, and Nic Cage's insanity.

A plethora of horror/scifi anthology series are available, and relative newcomer "Love Death + Robots" struggles to stake its claim in a busy subgenre. We watched the mostly animated series, and give our thoughts on the best/worst episodes and (lack of) common threads or themes. Then we travel through time and watch Ryan Murphy's revisionist historical drama "Hollywood" which asks the question, what if the golden age of Hollywood was done right this time, allowing women, people of color, and people of all sexualities an equal shot?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars has changed a lot during its seven seasons across 12 years, but it was always building toward this. Today we discuss the animated show's long-awaited final season. Then we switch gears entirely and discuss the Netflix documentary A Secret Love, which follows a lesbian couple who has been together since the 40's, a time generally regarded as unfriendly to such relationships.
