Ep:053 Born in the early 70s, Dieter grew up in a little village in Austria. At the age of 18, he moved to Vienna to get his master’s degree in Political Sciences, French, and Spanish. Today, he is living in Paris, France, with his boyfriend and works as a graphic designer. In his spare time, he writes, reads, cooks fancy recipes, takes photos, and travels. He is more a hoodie/jeans/sneakers kind of guy than a suit-and-tie chap. So far, he has published two short-story collections, three poetry collections, as well as two murder mystery novels in French, German, and English, the first of which has won the French Gay Crime Fiction Award 2019. You can also find him on Rainbow Book Reviews, where he writes book reviews under the pseudonym of ParisDude. Last but not least, together with his boyfriend he runs the website Livres Gay (in French), where they review and discuss gay novels.

Ep:050 After a thirty year career as a professional opera singer, performing as a soloist in opera houses and in concert halls all over the world, I took up a position as lecturer in music in Australia in 1999, at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, which is now part of CQUniversity.
Brought up in Australia, between the bush and the beaches of the Eastern suburbs, I retired in 2015 and now live in the tropics, writing, gardening, and finally finding time to enjoy life and to re-establish a connection with who I am after a very busy career on the stage and as an academic.

Ep:049 By the age of 30, Christopher Rice had published four New York Times bestselling thrillers, received a Lambda Literary Award and been declared one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive. His two novels of dark supernatural suspense, THE HEAVENS RISE and THE VINES, were both finalists for the Bram Stoker Award. He recently entered the erotic romance genre with three works in all new series called The Desire Exchange. They include THE FLAME, THE SURRENDER GATE and KISS THE FLAME. His debut novel, A DENSITY OF SOULS, was published when the author was just 22 years old. A controversial and overnight bestseller, it was greeted with a landslide of media attention, much of it devoted to the fact that Christopher is the son of famed vampire chronicler, Anne Rice. Together with his best friend, New York Times bestselling novelist Eric Shaw Quinn, Christopher launched his own Internet radio show. THE DINNER PARTY SHOW WITH CHRISTOPHER RICE & ERIC SHAW QUINN.

Ep:048 Born to Dutch parents and raised in Colombia and England, Oilvier Bosman is a rootless wanderer with itchy feet. He’s spent the last few years living and working in The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sudan and Bulgaria, and has every confidence he will now finally be able to settle down among the olive groves of Andalucia.
He’s an avid reader and film fan (in fact, his study is overflowing with his various dvd collections!)
Olivier did an MA in creative writing for film and television at the University of Sheffield. After a failed attempt at making a career as a screenwriter, he turned to the theater and wrote and produced a play called ´Death Takes a Lover´ (which has since been turned into the first D.S.Billings Victorian Mystery). The play was performed on the London Fringe to great critical acclaim.
He currently lives in Spain where he makes ends meet by teaching English.

Ep:047 Often called the LGBTQ’s “answer to Agatha Christie,” Ellen Hart is the author of thirty-five crime novels in two different series. She is a six-time winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Best Lesbian Mystery, a four-time winner of the Minnesota Book Award for Best Popular Fiction, a three-time winner of the Golden Crown Literary Award, a recipient of the Alice B Medal, and was made a laureate of the Saint at the Saints & Sinners Literary Festival in New Orleans in 2005. In 2010, Ellen received the GCLS Trailblazer Award for lifetime achievement in the field of lesbian literature. In 2017, she became the first openly LGBTQ author to be named a Grand Master by Mystery Writers of America, an award that represents the pinnacle of achievement in mystery writing, one that was established to acknowledge important contributions to the genre as well as for a body of work that is both significant and of consistent high quality. (Other recipients have included Agatha Christie, Stephen King, Sara Paretsky, Alfred Hitchcock, Graham Greene, Walter Mosley, Ellery Queen, Evelyn Waugh, Elmore Leonard, and Sue Grafton.)
Since the publication of her first work in 1989, Ellen has spoken at conventions, conferences, libraries, bookstores, colleges, and writer’s workshops all over the country. She taught creative writing for sixteen years through the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, the largest independent (not associated with a college or university) writing community in the nation. Her most recent mystery, In A Midnight Wood, was published in September of 2020. Ellen lives in Minnesota with her partner of 42 years.
