Queernundrum Podcast

In today's episode we get into Brandon Fraser's character in the movie The Whale - no worries, no spoilers. Should only queer people play queer characters? and what are we seeing queerly represented in Hollywood and media?

This week episode is from the darkest depths of our archive episodes, literally our first recording... Cats vs Dogs. it has been two years and this episode still cracks us up. We have come a long way and we are bummed we couldn't drop something new, life happens and I lost a friend. We will be back in your ears as soon as possible.

Cat Facts:

1.A house cat’s genome is 95.6 percent tiger

2.Cats’ claws all curve downward, which means that they can’t climb down trees head-first. Instead, they have to back down the trunk.

3. Spaying and neutering can extend a cat’s life.

Dog Facts:

1.Dogs noses are wet to help absorb scent chemicals

2.The Ewoks in Star Wars were based on a dog - George Lucas modelled the Ewoks after his family dog!

3.Dogs have three eyelids

On this week's episode of Queernundrum we talk about: What is meant by gender affirming care? What are examples of gender affirming care? What is gender-affirming care? How do you affirm someone's gender? A good topic to cover since so many states have legislation that affects the health and well-being of members of our community. Then we wrap up the episode by diving into the new show on Apple TV+ Mara Rudolph's Loot - have to have something to lighten the mood after all that talk about striping the rights and access to healthcare to so many of our community.
