It takes Fran nearly a lifetime to work out why the slurs thrown at her in the schoolyard never quite sound right.
Fran Mulcahy is an Ipswich based performer who is aging disgracefully, a spoken word performer, feminist writer and poet. Her first stage work was at age 10 when she performed the angel Gabrielle in the school pageant. Before retiring she had a career as a doctor, and she is currently involved in educating health professionals and medical students about the gender diverse community. She’s soon to be touring a new one woman show, so be sure to look her up.

Jude Perl has been performing music and comedy for nearly a decade, touring, recording and winning 3 Green Room Awards for Best Original Songs, a Green Room Award for Best Cabaret Artiste and Best Cabaret at Melbourne Fringe. She’s sold out seasons at Melbourne Comedy Festival, packed shows at The Hotel Cafe in LA and Ronnie Scott’s in London and in 2012, Jude was one of 10 finalists in the prestigious National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival. Another time, she choked on a moth. Who knows what she’ll do next.

Thomas Parer is a creative producer, DJ, ex-lawyer and bon vivant living in Meanjin, probably best known for being the creator and producer of local queer dance party, Shandy. Thomas is passionate about creating safer spaces for people to connect and believes in the community building potential of parties, and that the dancefloor can serve as a means to imagine a better world and achieve collective liberation. Fuck yeah! He performed this piece at Brisbane Powerhouse in 2021.

Steven has so many slutty stories to tell - but somehow he whittles it down to three...
Steven Oliver is a descendant of the Kuku-Yalanji, Waanyi, Gangalidda, Woppaburra, Bundjalung and Biripi peoples. He has worked with numerous theatre companies, festivals and arts organisations across Australia but became notorious with ABC’s Logie/AACTA nominated sketch comedy show Black Comedy as a writer/actor/associate producer. He is co-creator/writer/presenter for Indigenous Arts Quiz Show Faboriginal as well as the documentary Looky Looky Here Comes Cooky (SBS/NITV) which won best factual documentary at the 2021 Australian International Documentary Conference. His poetry is published in both national and international poetry journals and his plays Proppa Solid and From Darkness both received audience and critical acclaim. He has sold out performances of his one man cabaret show Bigger & Blacker, he’s an absolute icon. Enjoy.

Gloria Demillo (they/them) is a poet, researcher and multidisciplinary creative. Their most notable contributions include the Harana Poetry Tour for the Art Gallery of New South Wales; published works with the Australian Poetry Journal, Peril Magazine, Cordite Poetry Review, Red Room Poetry; and performances at the Biennale of Sydney, the National Young Writers Festival, Wollongong Writers Festival, Australian Poetry Slam, and the Bankstown Poetry Slam Olympics.
