Our Guest this episode is Jamie one of my best friends calling in from Denver where he has evacuated from San Fransisco. He is planning on moving to France for school in the fall and is studying a book called the Intelligent Investor. I’ve been locked in my room for the past few weeks trying not to share my sickness with others. I’d been watching Darwyn Cooke’s New Frontier animated film and thinking about what World War 2 and the Cold War have done to popular culture in the United States. Joe is enjoying his liberty to pursue his true passion. Seeking something to entertain himself he has turned to a Novelization of the 1990s story of Batman: Nightfall, the famous story about Bane Breaking Batman’s back. Daniel discusses the connections that he finds in the musicality of Childish Gambino’s Song Flight Of Navigator and Tame Impala Tomorrow's Dust. He also has some fantastic insights on Mac Miller and his musical ties to the Beatles.
