Calves are the most stubborn, frustrating muscle in the body. Many people phone it in when it comes to putting in the work on their calves, but I maintain that the problem is effort, not genetics. Sure, genetics play a large role in how large you will be able to get your calves, but that doesn’t mean they can’t grow just like any other muscle in your body.
The Problem: People don’t dedicate themselves to growing their calves.
The Solution: Variety, Volume, Load
Here is a little routine I do when I get into putting some effort into my lower leg.
