In part two of his message on the Superiority of Jesus Christ, Pastor Jim describes how people respond to Christ's superiority. There can only be two responses to the reality of Christ's superiority, belief that leads to true life in God or unbelief that separates us from life in God.

Early in Jesus' ministry some of John the Baptist's disciples took issue with what Jesus was doing and came to John to complain. He responded, -The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. He must increase, but I must decrease.- Pastor Jim uses the example of John the Baptist's response to explain why it must be the Christian's supreme desire to have Christ increase and self decrease.

-For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.- Pastor Jim shares the reasons for God's sending of his Son, the ultimate display of love, and the human responses to this amazing gift of love- through either belief or unbelief.

The means of the New Birth - Saving Faith- Its Contents. John 3-7-8 - Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.-

The Necessity of the New Birth - John 3-12-15 - Who God is and What. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things- No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

What the new birth IS. John 3-4-5 - Nicodemus said to him, -How can a man be born when he is old- Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born-- Jesus answered, -Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

So the Jews said to him, -What sign do you show us for doing these things-- Jesus answered them, -Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.- The Jews then said, -It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days--
