Just sharing my ideas one of my favorite book series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. This video may contain spoilers for those of you who are not up to date with the series. That goes for the HBO show and the books.

I'm just speculating and guessing on some ideas that I have on how future events will transpire in the series. Keep in mind however, I know nothing.

Following the Doomsday Battle in which the Trisolaran droplet laid waste to the entirety of humanity's space fleet, it seemed that all hope had been lost for mankind. But 7 ships had escaped the solar system, fleeing the devastation of the droplet. These orphans of humanity were split into two groups, those who would eventually call themselves Starship Earth comprised of 5 ships, and across the sun heading in nearly the opposite direction, the ships Bronze Age and Quantum.

Uploaded 05-04-24

The Vessel Natural Selection had fled the solar system before the battle due to the actions of Zang Behai, who saw escapism as the only hope for humanity's future in the face of the looming Trisolaran threat. 4 ships were sent in pursuit of Zang Behai, but after the Doomsday occurred Zang Behai’s pursuers realized that they could never return to the solar system while the droplet reigned. Their only hope would be to join forces with Zang Behai and the inhabitants of natural selection. This would set the stage for the tragic, Battle of Darkness.

The short story "Bloodchild" by Octavia Butler centers around a young Terran boy named Gan, who lives with his family in a Preserve on an alien world overseen by T’Gatoi, a member of the alien species known as the Tlic. The humans within the preserve live peaceful lives, and are provided for by the Tlic, but at a grotesque cost. Bloodchild was first published in 1984 in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. It later became the title story of her 1995 collection Bloodchild and Other Stories.

I’ve already covered Octavia Butler’s Xenogenesis Trilogy in these video’s here. Bloodchild was written around the same time and shares some similar themes surrounding the cost humankind might be willing to pay for survival. Keep in mind this video will have spoilers for Bloodchild, so if you care about that sort of thing you might want to click away from this video.=

The universe is vast, more vast than the human mind can conceive. And it is also old, impossibly old. The human race has existed for roughly 100,000 years, a blip when compared to the long history of the cosmos. In all that time billions upon billions of years, what other life came into existence? Sure the first intelligent race didn’t just form 100,000 years ago, can’t possibly be the first. If so, who was, and heights did their civilization rise to and where are they now?

The Xeelee Sequence by Stephen Baxter is a collection of science fiction books and short stories that follow the history of the cosmos dominated by an elusive race of beings known as the Xeelee. They are an ancient race so advanced that mere scraps of their technology left behind discarded by them could change the trajectory of an entire species. For an in depth look at the Xeelee check out my “Ultimate Time of The Xeelee Sequence” video.

Unbeknownst to humanity, who only saw the Xeelee as a threat and a competitor, the Xeelee had a great mission. Humanity waged a war with the Xeelee that lasted a hundred thousand years but in reality humankind would prove to be no match for the great Xeelee, in reality the Xeelee fought a much greater war. A war for the fate of the universe against entities made of dark matter. These entities form at the beginning of the universe, they lived within stars and consumed them, if these entities won against the Xeelee, the fate of the universe would be darkness.

But the Xeelee had a plan, a plan spanning across time, forward and backwards. The AntiXeele was a constructed entity, a being created with the purpose of orchestrating the Xeelee’s great works and seeing it through. The Anti Xeelee was a vast and powerful mind.
