Trump called the first American-born pope weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy. Claimed he personally put Pope Leo in the Vatican. Posted an AI image of himself as Jesus — glowing hand, eagles in the sky, military forces in the clouds. Then said he thought it was him as a doctor.

And the MAGA Christians who survived the war, the Medicaid cuts, the generals fired during combat, and 42 million Americans who didn't get food in November — some of them finally said enough.

In this QTS Quickie we take the theological objection seriously. Comparing yourself to Christ is blasphemy. The religious community that pushed back is not wrong to push back. But we are asking the question nobody in that coalition is asking out loud — where was this energy when Pete Hegseth prayed for overwhelming violence with Crusader tattoos? The church is emptying not because people stopped believing in God — but because they stopped believing the church believes what it says. Now is the time to use what you were given.

n America, we like to believe our elections belong to us. That paper says democracy. But paper doesn't run elections. Money does. And nobody is spending more money to buy American elections than AIPAC.

Two weeks. That's what we got tonight.

Pakistan mediated a ceasefire 90 minutes before the deadline. Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz. And the White House is already framing it as a victory. Karoline Leavitt is already calling it tough negotiations. The victory laps are starting.

This episode is about why you should not clap for the arsonist.

Donald Trump started this war February 28th without congressional authorization. His own intelligence community disagreed with his justifications. 1900 Iranians dead. 13 American service members killed. Over 300 wounded. 170 children killed in a school early in the war. Gas projected to hit $4.30 a gallon. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain shut down 7.5 million barrels of oil per day. The global economy tipping into recession. And this morning, on Truth Social, he threatened to exterminate 93 million people.

Amnesty International called it incitement to war crimes. The Iranian Ambassador to the UN called it potentially genocide. Pope Leo called on Americans to demand peace from their own president. Pakistan had to be the adult in the room because there was no adult in our own.

And now we're supposed to applaud him for not pulling the trigger on the extermination he openly announced.

Don't.

He closed the strait by starting a war. He threatened mass death to get it reopened. He's demanding credit for fixing what he broke while we're worse off than we were before he broke it. We lost credibility. Moral authority. Lives. Economic stability. Democratic norms. All of it on the world stage.

Two weeks is not peace. Two weeks is a stay of execution. And in two weeks we find out what kind of country we are.

On Tuesday morning, the president of the United States wrote on Truth Social: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will."

He's talking about Iran. A country of 93 million people. More than Germany. More than France. More than California, Texas, Florida, and New York combined.

This isn't a joke. It isn't negotiation. It isn't the art of the deal. Amnesty International called it "incitement to war crimes." The Iranian ambassador to the UN called it "potentially genocide." The former executive director of Human Rights Watch called it "collective punishment" — a Fourth Geneva Convention violation. Former U.S. military lawyers say threatening civilian infrastructure on this scale is itself a war crime under international humanitarian law. Multiple members of Congress called for the 25th Amendment today.

And while the president of the United States is threatening mass extermination from the White House, his Vice President is in Hungary campaigning for Viktor Orban. His Attorney General was fired last week. His Homeland Security Secretary was fired last month. His own Supreme Court — three of his own appointees — told him no on birthright citizenship. His primetime Iran speech contradicted itself every 30 seconds. Gas is projected to hit $4.30 a gallon this month because of his war. The Strait of Hormuz is still closed. The global economy is tipping into crisis.

This is what a cornered man with nuclear codes looks like.

There is no adult in the room anymore. No one is coming to stop him. The Cabinet won't invoke the 25th. The House won't vote articles. The courts can rule but they can't physically restrain him.

Which means it has to be us.

Call your senators. Call your representatives. Say the words 25th Amendment. Say the word impeachment. Say the words war crime. Make your Republican rep go on record. Make them put their name on it. Because history will ask what you did when a sitting American president threatened to kill 93 million people on a Tuesday.

This isn't funny anymore. It never was. But tonight it's undeniable.
