Allah surrounds us with signs: the heavens and the earth, our own creation, the animals around us, the changing of night and day, the rain, and the winds.

But seeing the signs is only the beginning.

In today’s episode, we continue Surah Az-Zukhruf and see how Allah sent Pharaoh and his people warning after warning so that they might return. But when the hardship disappeared, they broke their promises, and Pharaoh redirected his people’s attention to his power, status, and kingdom rather than the truth Musa brought.

We then turn to ʿIsa عليه السلام and his simple message: Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path. These verses challenge us to pay attention to the voices and messages shaping how we see the world, to recognize Allah’s reminders when they come, and to keep measuring what we hear against the guidance He revealed.

In today’s episode, we explore how the Qur’an challenges the way we measure success and human worth. Quraysh looked at wealth, status, and influence and assumed that these were signs of greatness. Allah reminds us that He is the One who distributes our provision, and that having more dunya does not necessarily mean someone is more beloved to Him, just as having less does not mean Allah has forgotten you.

We also explore the danger of allowing the world around us to shape how we see reality. When revelation stops guiding our understanding of success, money, relationships, morality, and purpose, something else takes its place.

In today’s episode, we reflect on how everyday blessings can reconnect us to Allah. Even something as ordinary as getting into our car becomes a reminder of His favor, our dependence upon Him, and the greater journey we are all taking back to Him.
