Hi everyone! I had the pleasure to work on an EP with Yellow Belly (Dominique Finnegan) and starting out by sharing "Left" a song with an instrumental setup inspired by Portishead in the downtempo trip-hop genre and lovely lyrics and vocals by Dominique.

The album: Antidote

Antidote is a 4 tracks EP release by Yellow Belly and Roberto Sass in the trip-hop and light dub genre with influences from the 90’s Bristol Sound Machine. Characteristics of the album is its instrumental and electronic basses tweaked and tainted with distortions, gentle modulated guitar responses, lounge organs accompanied by cinematic stings. Lyrics for the album written and performed by Yellow Belly, delivers thoughtful and emotional messages about complicated and broken relationships and lost love, logical and illogical choices of actions that we sometimes make in life that might cost ourselves dearly but are necessary to move on in life.

At parts, the album is gently melancholically soothing, closing in on the cinematic genre while at parts the dubby, snappy basses and tricky percussions brings the listener on the edgy side.

Back in November last year Indii sent me some really great sounding vocal and guitar stems. After listening many times for a couple of weeks I was thinking to challenge myself not to add any instrumental layers but instead to use time stretching, pitching and other effects to create new instruments using Indii's vocals and guitar. At the end I added a deep drum, as for the rest its all Indii you are hearing and I just cut, sliced and scrambled things around.

Souls Untamed is a single by Indii Wild Moon and myself.

We wanted to create a track up-to-date with current bass movements and believe this might work as a good example of our aim of style for the near future to come.

As with most of our collaborations, the intention was to deliver a thoughtful emotional package of lyrics and vocals while stretching the fused boundaries of genres, this time around touching on DnB, Drum-step and Trap.
