  • I Am Driven By My Good Fortune
i’m driven by my good fortune in life. I was born at a time where we have farmer opportunity. He’s the new ever has. And we can tackle some big enormous problems simply with persistence. I’m super excited to do that so that other people can see you confuse things even though you’re just a little love you.
We have the opportunity to take us to world because of the times we live in. Nobody else has had this opportunity other than us. Why not take advantage of it?

  • The reluctant entrepreneur
The standard view with #entrepreneurship is that somebody sees an opportunity, and they pursue that opportunity. From my perspective, it’s actually the opposite: the opportunity finds you.
You do not necessarily want to go through all of the work of being an entrepreneur, but the problem is so pervasive and important as soon as you raise your hand that it exists, people want to support that particular solution.
You get thrust into entrepreneurship, regardless of whether you want to or not.
You almost get pulled, kicking and screaming into the role of entrepreneur because of the problem is so important and nobody knows how to solve it.

  • How Did R3ciprocity Get It’s Name?
How did the R3ciprocity Project Get It’s Name?
R3ciprocity got its name with a simple comment made by one of my advisors.
He said, “Don’t thank me, pay the favor forward to somebody else someday.”
So I did. 1000s of times over.
A small comment goes a long way.

  • The Good Old Days
The good all days thankfully have passed. Many people romanticize what things were like in the past.
I encourage you to pick any specific area of your life and think about the way that used to be 30 years ago. In almost all areas of your life, you’ll realize once you pick a category that our life is phenomenally better then it ever used to be.
For me, I was thinking about the headaches that I get on a regular basis. I get chronic migraines, and I take acetaminophen and migraine medication.
Without this medication, I would likely have debilitating headaches about it twice a week if I would’ve lived 30 years ago. I’m so thankful for those who have discovered new knowledge in the past.
We think about how things are today and we think about all of the problems.
But, you don’t realize is that most of the problems that we have today in pale in comparison to the problems that we had 30 years ago.

  • The Real Story: You Don’t Know
The real story is you never really know what is the right answer. So you get up and you just do it, and you have fun. You’re likely making mistakes at any given moment, and you’re probably a mess. But, who cares? The goal is to keep going and smile along the way.

  • Changing The Standard Story in Academic Research
The standard academic story is that person pushes away the outside world for 30 years, and then we celebrate that particular person for doing so.
Can we change the story? How do we ensure that you feel like you are part of a community?
Can we ensure all people you’re welcome and included?
    I think so.
I think if we repeatedly tell people that they’re not alone, that they are remarkable, and that they matter, I think we can change a lot of the downsides of the system.
Do I think the incentives will change in the long run?
    Probably not.
However, for those that feel like they don’t belong, I think we can give them a voice.
So here it goes: You’re doing perfectly fine as you are.
    Keep being you.

  • Don’t Wake Up 25 Years Later Thinking What Did I Just Do
Your life is incredibly short, and I think you need to be very careful with what you choose to do in your life.
If you pursue things for the sake of meeting market demands, I fear that you might wake up one day, 25 years later and realize that you’re no happier today than you were 25 years earlier.
Pursue those things that make you feel alive inside.
You can find a way to make it viable, it’s only those that are unhappy with themselves that will tell you otherwise.

  • Tears In Their Eyes
and the reason why I do the reciprocity project is the number of people that come up to me with tears in her eyes. The number of people that are to deuce that they’re somehow academic failures or problems is far too large, and we need to change this. We need to change the conversation to focus on positive reinforcement and thinking about ways to make our careers. Fun and exciting
In short, we need to go back to weight science with originally intended. Filled with mystery and excitement. In the odd goofy moments.

  • That Is Just The Way It Is
that’s just the way this is a terrible excuse. Yet most of us decide that’s what we were up to you talk to you. Will conclude that the world is fixed and we can’t make a difference.
Yes, changing many of the social structures that we have often a difficult. There’s often no good way of making change, but you can figure it out if you don’t except that’s the way it is as an excuse. I think a lot of courage and a lot of tiny little actions. Every day, you can change how things are her.
If you believe that you can make a positive change in your life, encourage others around them to do the same thing.

  • You Will Not Get Support, But Does That Matter?
When you create innovative endeavors, you have to be OK with knowing what you’re doing is good.
It’s highly likely that most people will not understand it and highly likely that most people will ignore it.
Having that stability inside to get up and do your thing is all that matters.
Keep doing good things, regardless of their outcomes.
    You be you.
