  • Chapter 4: Gumption Matters
Join me on this unconventional journey as we delve into the writing process of my book, utilizing all the available tools and technologies. As we embark on this adventure together, you'll witness the raw and unfiltered reality of what it truly takes to bring a book to life.
In this fourth chapter, I aim to clarify the concept of gumption—a term I've defined as the intersection between the tenacity to persistently work at something (akin to the idea of grit) and the presence of a meaningful mission in one's life, driving them to pursue a significant and ambitious goal.
To illustrate this notion, I draw upon my own personal story, highlighting the pivotal role that gumption has played in shaping my life's journey. Growing up with limited resources, I found solace and purpose through hard work. It became an outlet for my aspirations, allowing me to transcend my circumstances and pursue something greater.
Importantly, I emphasize the significance of choosing a pursuit that can sustain our dedication over the long haul. It's not merely about momentary enthusiasm or fleeting interests. Instead, it's about identifying a passion or a goal that ignites our inner fire and compels us to persistently work towards its realization.
Through this chapter, you'll gain insights into the power of gumption—how the willingness to work diligently and the pursuit of a meaningful purpose can intertwine to fuel remarkable accomplishments. Together, we'll explore the depths of this concept, unearthing its essence and uncovering the profound impact it can have on our lives. gumption alone is not enough. It needs a purpose—a meaningful mission that serves as the guiding force behind our endeavors. In my case, it was the desire to inspire others through my art, to bring a touch of beauty and meaning to the world. This mission gave my hard work direction and infused it with a sense of purpose that surpassed the mere pursuit of personal success.

  • Chapter 3: The R3ciprocity Project — Just Mucking Around
The R3ciprocity Project was created with a simple story behind it. Over time, it has evolved into a form of exploration and experimentation, almost like just mucking around.
The main goal is to provide as much value as possible throughout my lifetime. It's about recognizing that there are others out there who share the same feelings I once had, and sometimes still have on a daily basis. The aim is to offer encouragement, provide opportunities, and present solutions so that people can surpass even my own achievements.
The ultimate objective is to give encouragement and let people know that it's okay to not always feel great along the way. The key is to embrace your true self and love who you are.
None of this is about theories of organizations, entrepreneurship, or innovation. It's a deeply personal journey where I reflect on my own emotions and how I navigate the world. It's a testament to my family and the values instilled in me while growing up. It also reveals my profound emotional needs and shortcomings, particularly the desire for others to accept and love me for who I am.

  • Chapter 2: It All Seems So Easy: Organizational Theory & Decision-Making
In Chapter 2 of this book, I delve into various theories that revolve around decision-making, organizations, multisided platforms, innovation, and entrepreneurship. These theories were meant to provide guidance for my behavior and actions as I embarked on the reciprocity project. My intention was to apply these theories to gain a better understanding of technology, entrepreneurship, and decision-making within organizations as I built the R3ciprocity Platform.
However, one significant challenge I encountered was the lack of concrete guidelines on what steps to take next. Despite my thorough exploration of these theories, there seemed to be a gap in knowledge that hindered my decision-making process. It became clear that relying solely on existing theories and understanding was not sufficient to determine the best course of action for moving forward.
This realization highlighted the need for innovation and creative problem-solving. While the theories provided a foundation, they were not exhaustive in addressing the specific challenges I faced with the R3ciprocity Platform. It became evident that I needed to think outside the box, explore new possibilities, and be open to unconventional approaches.

  • Chapter 1: A Bumbling Idiot Theory of Creating Something From Nothing
I have been toying with a book about the #r3ciprocity project, which would build on our understanding of organizational decision-making.
However, I want to do this a little differently, and how normal books are created. I want you to follow along in the creation of this book.
I also want to use all available #technology tools to make this as easy as possible.
I don’t know who the audience is, but that is very much the style behind the book. It’s about creating some thing from nothing, and not knowing what you want to create, and who the audience actually is.
Let me know me know if you want to follow along. ;-)
This may be chapter 1 of a new book about how do you create something from nothing. It’s about the creation of the R3ciprocity platform. It merges our understanding of decision, making an organizational theory with the real life exercise of building a platform that doesn’t exist. It is a process of discovery, and realization that are theories of #decisionmaking and organizational theory are lacking in modesty.
This book will be about how we try to create something from nothing when we don’t even understand our own preferences, and we lack in understanding of the preferences, a bit heterogeneous audience, who themselves themselves don’t understand what they want either. • Work hard to NOT be successful.
Push against the norm that you must always be achieving outcomes.
There is a lot of reasons to push against any norms that have you believing that the outcome always has to be success. This belief in success and #competition has been come institutionalized in much of the modern society.
However, if you talk to the growing mental health industry, you often find out that the root of many of our problems is our belief that we need to demonstrate how we are successful than everybody else.
If you talk to anybody that is created anything substantial in this world, you’ll often find out that they had to ignore success for a long period of time.
Anything that is meaningful requires significant sacrifice that does not immediately result in success.
If you want to do well, focus on just having #gumption and doing things for the sake of doing things. #Puttering is far better than being successful.
A focus on performance and success almost always inevitably results in the complete opposite in the long run.
Focus on the things that give you meaning, and they rarely have anything to do with success.

  • Think of the level of analysis in your decision making
If you think about the level of analysis in your decision, making, often the outcomes are determined before you even get to make a choice. Remember that your choices may not be yours to be made
Further, if you feel guilty about certain outcomes or choices, that you believe you have to make, realize that many of your choices are the result of higher levels of analysis. Moreover, the outcomes that you get might not necessarily be because of the decisions that you made, but because of choices that others might have made before you.

  • Why Are You Not Starting?
In the grand scheme of life, there are two groups that I consistently encounter. The first group appears to be passengers of life, not quite sure of their destination and simply letting the world unfold around them. They exist in a state of constant reaction rather than taking the reins and actively steering their life's course. The second group? They're the dreamers, always verbalizing ambitious plans and visions for their future. The interesting thing is, these big talkers are always on the brink of starting... tomorrow.
However, both these groups, despite their contrasting approaches, seldom begin anything of real significance. True achievement, the kind that leaves a lasting impact, isn't a sprint but a marathon. It takes a substantial amount of time, often a decade or more, to harvest the fruits of labor that truly matter in this world. So, why not pivot from the norm? Start exploring the world around you, venture into uncharted territories. But remember, while you're at it, let your journey unfold publicly. Share your story, so others can witness your path, participate in your experience and perhaps, draw inspiration from your journey.

  • Our world is not easy to explain with simple data analysis
How do we explain the world given the data that we actually have? There’s no good solution. The world is far more complicated than the models that we have access to.
We can do our best given with what we have, but ultimately we’re limited in the way that we actually analyze the world.

  • Be A Representative Of Goodness
In order to lead a fulfilling life, it's important to balance two aspects: feeling sincere #gratitude for where you are and acknowledging the issues that exist in the world. On one hand, you should appreciate the fact that you're alive and cherish your unique life, no matter your circumstances. Most of us do something special that others would love to try.
However, it's crucial not to become complacent with how great your life might be. There are many problems in the world, and we all have limitations in terms of what we can accomplish.
Just pick a problem and work towards solving it. Be persistent and relentless in your efforts.
As a representative of #goodness, you should appreciate your life and everything you get to experience, while also realizing there's more work to be done for the betterment of others. This approach will help you create a #positive impact on the world around you.
