👉 What is Dhrupad Gayaki - Its name is derived from dhruva-pada, simply meaning "refrain". The oldest form of Indian classical music that exists today is Dhrupad. Dhrupad music traditionally has three major parts - alap, jor-jhala, and composition. Dhrupad composition, usually is set in chau taal, sul taal, triva taal or dhamar.

Uday Bhawalkar was born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He started learning classical music from his elder sister. He is more popular like dhrupad vocalist.
