In a hard-hitting and emotional edition Dani and Toby sit down with their friend and fellow Rabble HQ resident Mary Genis from CultureMix. Mary and her organisation have been sharing the Caversham Centre building with Rabble and like Toby and Dani she dreams of a place she can call home. With both Rabble and CultureMix now on notice to leave Caversham this edition asks what next, or should that be where next? Listen to the discussion and please send us your thoughts, and share the podcast with as many people as you can.
Dani and Toby are back with a brief update from Rabble HQ. A draft of their new radio play has arrived, they're looking forward to teaching 'get up on stage' sessions in person again, and they're celebrating a fresh new online look. So settle down with a cup of tea, or in this weather a glass of something with ice cubes in it, and catch up with your favourite theatre folk.

Dani and Toby are back with an update on how things are during this unique and challenging time for the arts. If you're looking to take up acting or sharpen up your skills they have details of their latest acting classes, news of a monologue series and how they're adapting next summer's 'The Last Abbot' outdoor production to cope with possible social distancing restrictions. The podcast also features Toby's croaky voice and a guest appearance from their daughters!
It's a lockdown edition of the Rabble podcast as we find Dani and Toby at the kitchen table contemplating 'the new normal'.
Together they update us on how they've taken the Rabble to a new virtual world, and dream of a time when they can get back to doing what they do best - producing quality live theatre for the people of Reading!
Beaming into the conversation is Sarah Jane Booth the set designer for 'The Last Abbot', the grand production that was due to be performed this summer in Reading Abbey ruins.
Sarah gives us a sneak preview of the set and reveals how you could play a part in making it!
Rounding off the pod is our regular 'ask Dani and Toby' question - if you want to ask them something in a future edition, don't be shy, just email [email protected]

Like all of us Dani & Toby are coming to terms with the coronavirus outbreak and its effects on their family and their theatre company. Recorded on the day the Government announced schools would close until further notice they reveal how they plan to keep their business going. Despite everything this podcast is full of positivity and determination to ensure Rabble Theatre remains an integral part of the Reading arts and culture scene. It's been a while so Act 3 of The Rabble Podcast is a bumper edition!
Join Dani and Toby in a central Reading wine bar with guest supporter and sponsor Alexis Lane from local legal firm The Head Partnership (thp).
Together they discuss the business of running a professional theatre company, Toby asks for advice on attracting new sponsors, and Alexis gives us her perspective on Rabble and their work in the community.
Along the way there's also some exclusive production news, Dani nearly reveals a secret about 'Off the Block', and Toby asks Alexis to say who she thinks was the better performer in the Rabble's trilogy of Reading Abbey plays......him or Dani......this could get ugly!
As if all that wasn't enough we visit Rabble's Monday night adult acting class called 'Get up on stage', and we get the latest on the company's next blockbuster production 'The Last Abbot'.
Dani and Toby from the multi-award winning, Guardian Top 20 theatre company look back at their last production Macbeth and hear for the first time what a prominent local critic thought of it. They're joined by Director Hal Chambers to discuss Macbeth and look forward to their Christmas show Hansel and Gretel. Writer Anna Wheatley talks to them about the adaptation and reveals some of what we can look forward to. There's also a musical sneak preview to end the podcast!
