Hour 1 of Race Central with Kurt Hansen is off and running for our Mile High Nationals special. During today’s show we’ve got plenty of NHRA drivers on the show to gear up for next weekend’s races. Kurt talks other motor sports news like ESPN’s new deal to continue carrying Formula 1 before we have NHRA Funny Car Champion Matt Hagen on the show to talk about Mile High Nationals and throwing out the first pitch at the Rockies game before that. To close out the hour, 3rd year NHRA Pro Stalk driver Mason McGaha joins us and talks about his start in the sport and practice methods leading up to next weekend.  

The 2nd hour of Race Central with Kurt Hansen rolls on with our Mile High Nationals special edition. 2020 NHRA Rookie of the Year and top contender in the Top Fuel Class, Justin Ashley joins us live from New York City to chat with Kurt about his season thus far and of course competing next weekend. Then, world renowned motor sports writer Gordon Kirby joins the show and talks with Kurt about his new book “Boost! Roger Bailey’s Extraordinary Motor Racing Career” and his plan for his next book.  

Hour 1 of Race Central with Kurt Hansen opens with Kurt previewing the show and upcoming guests before jumping into the Ross Chastain and Denny Hamlin controversy. We hear from NASCAR President Steve Phelps on the issue. Then, NHRA Pro Stalk driver Camrie Caruso joins the show to chat with Kurt about the first all-female final round at Houston. To close out the hour, Kurt relives Chase Elliott's win at Nashville.

The second hour of Race Central with Kurt Hansen kicks off with Kurt talking the latest in Formula 1 – particularly the British Grand Prix. Kurt contemplates Lewis Hamilton's behavior as of late and whether he can be an occasional drama queen. Then, Kurt gives another one of his car reviews- this time on the 2022 Mazda CX30. Kurt closes out the hour recapping all of the latest NASCAR news and predictions on the weekend.

Hour one of Race Central with Kurt Hansen opens with Kurt recapping all of the news and happenings from racing from the past weekend. Most notably the Indy 500 where Marcus Ericcson stole the cake, NASCARS Coca Cola 600 and F1’s Monaco GP. Shortly after Dutch journalist and author André Hoogeboom joins the show and chats with Kurt about his book “Max: The Dutch Master- The Unauthorized Biography of Max Verstappen”. 

Hour two of race Central with Kurt Hansen kicks off with more motor racing talk from each discipline before Kurt details all of the upcoming events for the weekend. Then, “Photo” Joe Star joins us for our “Local Joe” segment- where he and Kurt talk NASCAR and their perpetual tire problem. To close out the hour RacinBoys NASCAR writer Lee Spencer joins our show once again, this time from WWT Raceway, and gives us the scoop on all the news from the track leading into this weekend's race.  

Hour 1 of Race Central with Kurt Hansen opens with Kurt expressing his excitement for what he calls a “Gear Heads Dream Weekend” as we approach an incredible weekend of motor sports with NASCARS Coca-Cola 600, Formula 1’s Monaco GP and of course the Indy 500. Shortly after, Jason Kiernan, founder of Limb of Dreams Foundation joins us live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to tell us what he’s seen so far and also updates us on his foundation which helps provide funding for prosthetic equipment for children under 18. Another caller from the Indianapolis Speedway joins the show at the end of the hour, Indy Car Diver Santino Ferrucci! Ferrucci gives us the details on his game plan and his experience thus far leading up to the race this Sunday.

During the second hour of Race Central with Kurt Hansen, Kurt has “Photo” Joe Star on the show for our Local Joe segment. He and Joe talk all of the news and drama for this jam-packed motor sports weekend. Shortly after, Kurt gives another one of his car reviews- this time on the 2021 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid. To close out the show Kurt wraps up his thoughts on the Indy 500 and honors all of the fallen soldiers in the midst of Memorial Day weekend.  

Hour 1 of Race Central with Kurt Hansen opens with Kurt talking all things Indy Car in the midst's of Indianapolis 500 qualifying's. He touches on Stefan Wilson's story of securing a spot in next weekend's race. Shortly after, Trans Am Driver Dylan Archer joins the show and chats with Kurt about excelling in his career during covid and his experience in Esports and simulators.  

During the second hour of Race Central with Kurt Hansen, Kurt opens up with NASCAR talk and this weekend's All Star Open. He then switches tune to NHRA before “Photo” Joe Star joins us for our “Local Joe” segment. Joe touches on the current issues/drama in NASCAR and how there's more news off the track than on the track recently. Kurt and Joe debate NASCARS wheel problem and where NASCAR went wrong. To close out the hour, Executive Director for Hope Kids – Robbin Brown joins the show and tells listeners about this incredible organization which helps families with children suffering from severe medical conditions.
